I don't worry about how many dogs I have here too much. I don't want to go too overboard with it but I have too keep in mind that my yard is aging and all but the new pup and my gyp pumpkin are youngins. The rest are 6/7 years old or older. I have a few elsewhere too tucked away but not on my own property. We're only allowed 4 here. Once I move from here in the coming year my yard will grow pretty fast. I honestly never plan on keeping more than 10 adults at any given time as the days of the big yards are pretty much over and working a full time job plus my kids i dont feel i could give more than that the attention they deserve on a daily basis. It'll depend on the kind of land I can find. If it's mostly woods then I may keep a few more than that but not too many more as it brings too much attention to myself.

 

Where I'm at you're only allowed two dogs over the age of 6 months. Had a nice little Chocolate and white bitch here but the heat from the local fine collectors was getting a bit too much so I sent her off with a good mate of mine who was looking for a new pig dog. She grabbed a hold of the first pig she saw by the snout, she loves it and I'm happy that's she got a good working home. Would love another like her though, her drive is insane and she lives for your approval
