Yes ...kibble..I stay around 20 percent protein for dogs on chain not being worked..OK here in the states key I don't think I have saw any feeds as low as 15 percent protein..Even your cheapest kibble will be higher than 15..

I believe it can cause diahrea ..If anything it could be the source from which the protein came from that causes the problems in certain individuals.

the dog gets much (not all) of its energy from fat...but needs protein to build lean strong muscle...to give the dog speed strength and endurance...theres little point working a dog hard if your not feeding enough protein...so whats to "nope" about??..."increasing the protein content...as the dog gets worked harder"...an inactive dog dont need as much protein as a dog in a keep...simple!... a game dog needs a differnt level/ type of athleticism...to a gundog...but thats just my opinion

    ...FAT...can be a great/or better source...when conditioning a dog..but like everything else a good balance...whats everybodys..preference ..for fat content when feeding for show/weight pulling etc/etc...????????

A pleasure to debate with you...and best of luck conditioning your dogs on "mostly fats"

If you transitioned the kibbles gradually then its probably something wrong with that brand of kibble.

Plus the higher the protein content dont mean its better and unless your working your dog hard for what ever even/reason, most dogs dont require that high amount of protein.

Best bang for the buck IMO is Costco's Natures Domain Salmon/Beef/Turkey. You could also buy salmon/krill/fish oils at costco at a good price. Also a kirkland multivitamin with trace minerals given twice a week or when ever your dog is worked.

nah, too much protein will not cause loose stools. nor will it cause damage to a dog's kidneys. in fact the study/research done to obtain this finding was done on rats, NOT dogs. sounds like, since you've been feeding the same food to your dog for months now, that as stated, yes, perhaps the latest bag/batch *could have something wrong with it.

what is high % proteine ?
and what is to much proteine ?
think when your dog can't handle 30% proteine he has a problem .......
but what is it really .......is it your dog that can't handle it ...or is it your wallet that can't handle 30%?

Finally ! this was my only point ..Dogs can only use so much protein ,unless your working them..I really had no other point.

OK lets say I am a body builder at 225 lbs and I got a buddy at 225 that isn't a body builder..OK so how much protein do I need daily, well about 1 gram per pound.OK I am working out 2 times a day and long work outs..OK my friend works all day and has a family so he doesn't need a lb of protein per lb because he only works out 45 mins a day.Let's say he was taking that much protein a day.His body is.prob only.using around 50.grams a.day..So where is the rest going ? It has to.come out , so shitting out the rest and wasting money and.its harder on his body to digest all this unused protein ..Now dogs are far superior athletes so they burn a lot more than humans so don't apply this to dogs.Even so an unworked dogs body can only use so much.protein .

the body builder world is a other world ....you can't compere with feeding a game dog i think .....
in nature they eat 37% lion gets antilope ..starting with organ's ...hyena left overs most of the time
