what's the best kibble feed?

Victor makes some pretty good kibble which is better than totw IMO. It's also considerably cheaper....I pay $40 for 40 lbs. from the feed store.

 

I've feed both..while I do like victor which I'm currently feeding, it in all honesty doesn't hold a candle to totw. I pay $33 for 40lbs for Victor. Your opinion isn't worth much of anything if you believe Victor is higher quality than totw.

 

I've always fed Victor but the feed supply ran out and I switched to totw. What I noticed was the dog losing weight even though it was fed more, duller coat, and much more shit to clean up.

That's also why I said IMO.....look it up.

 

They're gonna thin out on totw...never had an issue with dull coats n mine shit less on totw. No need to look anything up I've seen it in my own yard.

 

You might be getting good results with TOTW, but for quality it doesn't compare to Victor. All dogs are different though, ours did like shit on TOTW and constantly had loose stools (and a lot of it), after a week on Victor they were shitting nice and firm and not nearly as much and looked better all around.

I'll let it slide this time, lol. I do feel totw is a superior, but I have good results with Victor along with a much lower feed bill. I've fed two different types of victor; the hi pro plus teal bag, and a grain free formula " Yukon River"

Yup, and I dunno where you are getting the Victor is any less in the quality department, because its not, its also higher calorie, so you can get by feeding a bit less.

Sportmix Wholesomes Lamb & Rice is my daily feed..... Now you talking putting one in shape.... No kibble over here lol. Victor did very well for me too but the place I got it from folded and I can't find it anywhere else within 75 miles so I went to the Sportmix, I didn't see much of a change on the switch, I feed just a bit more in winter is all

Same here I been feeding victor for 2 years 34.00 for 40lbs hi pro teal bag switched from totw less shit dogs are just as healthy.I like natures variety better jus dont like the price.I think victor is the best for the price.

 

Just going by my personal experience. It's all any of us can do. Doesn't really matter one way or the other. I've said numerous times I like Victor and I think it's a quality food. I'll continue feeding it..I just happen to think totw did a lil better by my dogs.

 

Same here Peon, just stating what I've experienced having fed both, and switching from one to the other. Like I said earlier, dogs are different, I have a friend that has a dog that does like shit on raw.....

Spot on. Both feeds carry around a dozen different product lines. I use the victor hi pro plus compared to the totw high prairie formula.
