I am new to this site but have been around APBTs all my life. The original post was some poor guy asking if he should breed a Butkus to Razors edge. Somehow this turned into a mud-slinging middle school "meet me after school" situation. How is this going to look to someone from the outside?? Oh and no i would not go near a Butkus with a 50 foot pole.

Ok everybody I know this is a game dog forum but I want you to all know that they are making a registry solely for these "bully" type dogs and they are not going to call them apbts anymore but are going to be referred to as American Bully. the kennel registry is called Bloodlines Kennels Club. it's web address is http://www.bullykennelclub.com/ and they are going to be breeding and showing to their own standard. And RE dogs are not bandogs they are large show bred pits crossed with blue amstaffs to get the color and in reality they are not very big (generally 60 -80lbs in reality as I've seen several and seen them weighed) and Goliath from muglestons has some Eddingtom in him and everyone knows those dogs were crossed with American Bulldogs and Dogue de Bordeaux. I personally have nothing against "bully" dogs if that is your preferance but I believe they should be called what they are and they are "bully" and luckily these "bully" breeders and fanciers of lately from the people and breeders I know are not referring to them as APBTs but "Bully". Besides if you go to the expos they aren't called pits they are called Bullies. They have Bully Expos and Bully competitions. They aren't like the old or original APBT but they were created actually not solely for the look but also as a general family companion that had a certain look. Most of the bully owners I know are very dedicated to their dogs and love their dogs and I know several that go to fun shows and pull. They may not be the Game Bred APBT but they have a following and they have fanciers that are not solely in it for the $ but really love that kind of dog besides isn't Pit Bull not a breed but a type of dog. So what you have American Pit Bull Terrier (Game Dogs), American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and now American Bully. I know several of these dogs in my area that are spayed/neutered and non breeding animals but are the Bully type dogs. So you can't say that everyone that owns bullies only owns them to make a buck. In my town there is from what I can tell only one guy that peddles "pit bulls" and they are gamey looking mutts crossed with god knows what that he is having like 20 to 30 litters a year and selling pups off for less than $200. I actually asked him what "bloodline" he was running and he said AMERICAN PIT BULL!!!!!! OMG I nearly died and he even said to me that merles were the original brindle.........I started laughing so hard I almost died! So you can't just say that the only APBT peddlers peddle blues or bullies as there are many others that do it and think they are good breeders.
