I hope this man stands up for himself and his dogs, even if he doesn't have lawyer money it's still worth fighting it. I'm with you david, screw the system! Police are a problem IMO, I've let that be known plenty on here, but the DA and the court house is where you really get screwed if you don't know your basic rights and laws. I agree bluebull, the scare and delay tactic is used everyday in the court house and it gets alot of people to plea to the crime. It especially works in the courts favor if someone is in jail fighting a case. They take a plea just to finally get something done instead of all the non sense delays they always pull.

If he wins, he can charge the city/state and people who took his dogs from him and made him go through all this. Emotional distress is a million dollar lawsuit so I hope they don't drag this out to long or put his dogs down because with no evidence, this could get ugly. Maybe we'll all get lucky and they will drag this out, put a few of his dogs or all of them down and he'll make them pay. If they came to my house and took my dog/dogs, I would have them pay more than what the dogs are worth, my time and effort. They would think twice about putting their nose where it doesn't belong without substantial evidence to back their ass! Also, when children enter a court room and cry the jury eats that up and it makes them feel like they just lost their family dog.

i feel like half these people are dumb, if they were truly aware of every civil right violated, they wouldnt have such a hard time in the courtroom. nobody SHOULD HAVE to deal with this if they arent doing anything wrong..., however.... this is when knowing you rights has a huge impact on your behalf, i feel like this..... if this happened to me? i would dig up every case of proven malicious prosecution that the HS has ever commited. take away theyre credibility and let my lawyer go to town on them........ sure it may break the bank for the time being, thats thats the beauty in the countersue..... since you didnt due anything & have been found inncocent, you then countersue the agency for all the money it cost you o fight the case you shouldnt have to fight in the first place......

there should be record on sites like this that documents every FAILED attempt by the HSUS. there was one locally to me, in lincoln where a man had his horses siezed....... 2 weeks later he got em all back and all the HS got out of the deal was a boot in the ass and a middlefinger @ theyre back!

Guess instead of cowhide we will have to start using the arm sleeves that K9 trainers use, oh but wait they use treadmills too.

When the Humane Society's involved they have lawyers on their payroll. you always go to court with a lawyer no matter what it is.

ok ok If somebody has lawyer money, of course, go to court with a lawyer. Makes perfect sense! What if this guy doesn't have lawyer money?? You tell him to skip court and fuck em?? No, don't think so. Either way, he needs to show his ass up at court and fight it. If somebody doesn't know you do better in court with a lawyer, they're dumber than I thought. But if somebody doesn't have a few grand for lawyer, you expect them to belly up and admit to whatever they're being charged with?? Not I!!

^ This. You guys have any idea how much lawyers fees it is for 9 felony charges and 10 misdemeanors? Not only that most lawyers don't really want to go to trial and will 9/10 strongly urge you to take the plea deal. Only one felony charge and no guns for you. Just goes to show that only one dumb ass neighbor can sink your battleship with a few phone calls.

This is only about $ and keeping the courts/jails full and the dogs continue to suffer.

I agree with you treezpit . But I do not know my rights well enough to argue with them In court that's why I would get a lawyer that's all I'm saying.

And I also agree that it's always going to be better with a lawyer david63. And I don't mean to judge a book by its cover because looks can definitely be deceiving but by the look of him, I doubt he has lawyer money stashed anywhere. Lawyer is always the best option but not everybody has the money and I believe they should stand tall no matter what their financial situation is, that's the only point I was making.

yes and if you win in court next year a new law will be introduced. That's what happened in South Carolina with some friends of mine. The Humane Society came in on him with law at 6:30 in the morning. and they took all of his dogs and used his trailer to transport. YES lawyers are expensive but he won his case and got all his dogs back.

Glad he got em back!! I've learned to fight til the end, they use the scare tactic and usually don't have shit. Feds on the other hand, might as well save your lawyer money and use it on your books in the fed joint. Feds aint going to court unless they got you for sure. Sure, there are VERY FEW that beat the feds. But I'd still suggest save your lawyer money with them.

I forgot to mention a lot of people were donating money to his lawyer fund. treezpitz I wish I could mess with them in the courtroom like you do I don't know my rights well enough to argue with them I would be found guilty. Lawyer are expensive the lawyer I had was a hundred sixty dollars an hour.
