Daft things you've done for your dog(s).

I know a lot of people wouldn't put their neck on the line for a dog but sometimes we surprise ourselves at what we would do for them.

The daftest thing I've ever done was put myself between two dogs. I came away with some nasty bites but the scratches were the worst, covered in them. I take my dogs to a field/land that is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and I rarely see other dogs there. I had my bitch out there on the lead and some malamute X came charging over. The owner was at the other side of the field and started running over. They weren't fighting straight away but it escalated pretty quickly. I was trying to pull her away before either got a hold but the dog would just folow us (obviously) but I tried to keep them apart until the owner could leash the dog. I honesty felt like unleashing her but I ended up stupidly putting myself in the middle until that dog got leashed. I came off worst than all 3 of us. Daft.

I've also rearranged my house so my dogs can like in harmony as much as possible without having to be crated. My bitch had an abusive owner and came to me with a load of issues, most of which we've sorted but she hates the crate. Again, pretty daft cause I know if we worked at it I could probably get her to at least tolerate the crate.

I jumped in a lake in the middle of november to save my pup. I had just bought him about a month prior, and while we were at the park, he ran after some ducks and jumped off a ledge after them. Well my pup went straight down, and i jumped in after him. We both froze our asses off walking back to.the car.
