My buddy whose a hunter just gave me some deer ribs and other deer parts for my dogs. Was looking for advise on the best way to cut through the meat and bones.

give them whole if your dog will handle them. otherwise a hacksaw is handy. for the bones lol

  4. I go shooting a hack saw or junior hacksaw will do the trick

  5. hatchet or meat cleaver will sort out the bones, sharp knife for the meat

I just feed the ribs whole. the meat is so thin on the ribs that they end up being trash anyways. We break the back up and the ribs and feed it to them every so often. Those ribs can be broken with just about anything.

I use sawz all. The carcass and A lot of the bigger bones and meat like rib meat that's hard to get to ill boil it up and make like a venison stock/ stew and poor over their kibble to add extra calories and nutrients in the winter. The meat I just let freeze for like a week and feed it raw. I don't like feeding the bigger bones to them as it sometimes breaks off their teeth so boil them for a little while to get the bone marrow out and meat I couldn't get cleaned all the way off the carcass. I'll feed derr bones to my brood stock but my prospects I don't want to take the chance of ruining their teeth

Just picked up 7 deer carcasses today. Lots of meat left on them. They mostly just cut out back straps and some meat in hind legs for jerky

What a waste of an animal that would have been if you didn't take the carcasses , glad you took it and can use it. I hate when people do that shit. I see it all the time in the woods. The deer will be shot dead and they just take the 5 - 10 lbs of backstrap meat and leave the other 80 - 120 lbs of meat will to go to waste. Low life ass people do that kind of hunting...

Lol lot of folks using a big ass sawzall to cut down a deer. A good sharp knife and a hacksaw works just fine. ;)

No shit. Most People around here hunt for trophy bucks. There was a couple in there that was pretty clean but about half if them They didnt even touch the front legs. I would have made me some jerky if they would have called me sooner than they did. None of it goes to waste once I get it. The only thing the dogs don't eat is the teeth and antlers but all the antlers already cut off. A couple of the heads were skinned so they must be getting them stuffed for their wall? A lot of people just drop the carcass off at the farm but my buddy hooked me up with this guy so must have been a group of them hunting gun week. My dogs will be eating fat this week tho so I'm happy

Just watched that video I wouldn't have any fingers left if I went that fast. Pretty impressive. I use a sawzall after the carcass already frozen and cut it in chunks for each individual dog.
