that's what happen today in my neighbourhood.
that lady was walkin her 2 dogo argentino, when came retriever (off leash), and than dogo attacked.
of course that lady couldn't control her dogs, she was actually praising him, but, who do you think will be guilty here??
her, having both dogs on leash, or the other mater having his dog off leash ?

Yeah,they all were wasn't they,lol Honestly the off leash dog is at fault for being off leash,but if you do walk a couple dogs like the woman had,the owner should of had a breaking stick and if she would of just had the one dog instead of two,she could of handled it better.But the off leash dog is technically at fault IMHO.

The dog came up to her and may or may not have been threatening. Her dog responded. She looked stupid and that could have been prevented if she had a stick and knew what to do with it. The retriever would have fled when the dogo let go and she could have went about her business. Shit happens when you party naked.

I thought the retriever will be get injured but after the attack i have see he is allright.
So i learn again that attacks like this are not so dangerous they look like.
But the women is hysteric too like the neigbours and thd breaking stick would be the greatest thing in this situation.

No body walks around with braking sticks, and if you had a pit in this situation you would off opened up a can of worms, even if your dog was on a leash. This is simply a reality check for the women and the owner of the retriever who's dog was off leash. This video will be a good training tool for the next time somebody wants to walk two large powerful dogs on there own.

 

Actually if I was going to walk a dog like that,I would have a breaking stick in my pocket.I actually carry two in my car at all times,lol

 

I hate off leash dogs almost as much as that dogo does. No excuse for it, and our dogs will get blamed even though it should be obvious that the other dog was supposed to be on a leash. If some asshat was about to hit my dog with a board like that all hell would have broken loose. The dogos' owner seemed to be trying to keep everything cool, at one point she seemed to be telling the others that beating the dog was NOT working, but she really needs to re-evaluate her strategy for when this may happen again...

At least the golden was all right.

Technically, the owner of the retriever is to blame (IMO). When you are walking dogs on a leash and another dog comes into their radius, you might not be able to prevent a fight from starting. As others have said, they guy with the big board was some kind of badass.

 

I am glad all ended well (the retriever escaped with a few scars), but why didn't the woman have a break stick for her Dogos? Then again, no one thinks about those type of things until something like this happens. I bet the owner of the Golden keeps it on a leash now.

I have had an incident when my 10Ilbs rat terrier was charged by a 30Ilbs cocker mutt. We tried to walk away, but it followed us barking visciously. It got too close to my rat terrier, she bucked out of her harness (step-in harness) and tore the dog a new one before she chased back to its driveway where it proceeded to piss on the porch.

This same dog came back for round two when its owner let it outside as she checked the mailbox. The mutt made a b-line for my dog, stopped dead and growled at her. I told the owner to "Get her damn dog before I hurt it." Well, she is still standing there like an idiot as her mutt circles around to bite my dog on the leg. Sigh. I just started planting my foot in its side with the owner just standing there looking stupid, telling me not to kick her dog. LOL! Yeah, right.

The 3rd time (same dog) tried to come to me as I was walking Teensy. Idiot owner let it wander down the road to piss. It saw me and my dog, came towards me and I kicked it in the face once before it turned tail and ran back up its driveway.

Yesterday, the dog was in its yard, but wouldn't dare come down the driveway. I now keep animal control number (both numbers) in my top cell phone contacts. LOL! I hate off-leash dogs. My dog is friendly with other dogs unless they try to start a fight, then she's a totally different dog.

 

To much dog not enough owner.The retrievers at fault,but that lady has no business owning a dogo(let alone two),just as some have no business owning a bulldog.

 

I was out hunting and lost my break stick and couldn't break my Am Staff. My partner old school dog guy walked up to my dog lifted him from behind, squeezed his man hood, & he released. anyone ever try this technique??

When I walk my dogs, you better believe I have one. You ever been in one of these situations? That stick can make things better if the situation comes about, thats for sure.
The lady broke no laws unless a muzzle law is in effect, which seems unlikely.
Reality check none the less.
