I have been "sampling" a lot of whisky/whiskey the last couple of years.

I drink Bourbon such as Maker's Mark and Buffalo Trace, and Irish Whiskey such as Jameson's and Bushmill's.

I have recently started drinking Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky - Black Label. Tasted pretty strange at first, but I think it's growing on me.

OK, I had to look up Borracho, which I found to mean "drunkard."

Actually, I am pretty good at just drinking enough to take the edge off! Plus, I really do enjoy the flavor.

Hey, and it's good for your health in moderation. Prevents heart disease...

I think Blue Label costs $225.00 for a bottle, right? So how much do they charge for a shot? I would like to try it!

It's about 35 bucks for a double shot in a glass. It's worth trying once

Jameson is very smooth and very drinkable, and that's cool you
had a chance to taste it at the source.

    I haven't tried real moonshine.

Wild Turkey 101. I live on a budget, so The Glenlivet and Glenfiddich are about as top of the line I go. Also have some local stuff that isn't too bad.

laphroaig 10 yrs. is a standard. I have a bottle of the quarter cask 5 yrs in the pantry now. It has a bit of a medicine taste to it but really not much else to complain about.

Laphroaig is my favorite. If you likey smokey/salty man, that is some goood stuff.
I have tried the 10yr, 15yr, and 10yr cask strehgth. Love it. Plus you get a 100 yr lease of of a 1'x1' plot of land in Scottland. lol

Also if you want to explore scotches, lagavulin another Islay scotch. Tallisker, Macallan, dalwhinnie for some highland scotch. Love some of the irish whiskey too. Jameson, Bushmills, black bush, middletons, all good shit. But usually drink bourbon since it is cheaper, Evan williams or Wild turkey, Jim Beam every once in a while.

legal poitín is probably the closest thing to moonshine
Knockeen Hills Gold Extra Strength 90%vol

not as nice as home made brown poitín, but worth trying if u live outside Ireland
