I believe a free spinning mill can get your dog in the best shape possible and that reason alone is why the Lemms mills fetch such a high price tag. It isn't because they are a collectors item as much as it is the fact that they can put your dog in better shape than the guy using a brand X mill.

SLAT MILL AND CARPET MILL 4 SALE..see pics!
Gosh i get tired of hearing the same question about mills.. How many times does it turn or go around? This is a ratio of corner wheel and belt length and really doesnt have much to do with freespinning, I mean it does have some to do with it to a point but not as much as you would think. All mills created equal (which we know they are not) are pretty much the same, Once a animal has set the belt in motion the resistance is minimal at most (given the fact that the mills were at least created with some degree of quality) if even measurable at all. There are only a small handful for differences in mills regardless of how they look and bells and whistles and such, I have only seen 3 differant variations of roller wheels in 12 years or so of building mills, Roller skate or skateboard wheels -rubber, Steel skate wheels and inline skate wheels. For corner wheels i have seen yet again maybe 3 variations, Split rims, go cart rims, wagon wheels, lawn mower wheels. So yet even again most mills are created somewhat equal. To make a longer story as short as possible, Most mills in this day will get your animal in the pretty much the same condition. A mill that spins around 7 times and one that spins around 12 or 13 times will put the two animals in remotely the same shape. I doubt you could measure the difference in the 2 as far as physical shape would go given they were using the same keep. So all in all choose a mill that fits your style and type of dogs you have small, large, wide, narrow what ever works for you. Find someone making what you like and go with that, dont make this a real difficult decision, And by all means dont let someone talk you in to buying something by downing someone elses product, There isnt any fairy dust or magic that goes in to these, just good workmanship that is true and plumb and a belt that goes in a circle. Thats it, thats as complicated as it gets, Only thing i would try to do when buying a mill is buy one close so you dont have to deal with the airline or freight company and you can drive to where your product is made and see the quality and get replacment parts readily.Alot of people would have you believe there is some secret or trick to building mills, In short, there isnt any trick or secret, they all do the same thing as long as the belt turns freely and smooth, Not how many times they can get it to go around in a circle, Now when i say freely i mean with out binding or major resistance, just easy turning, now dont try to analyze that and make that statement difficult or complicated, take it for what it is from somone who knows. There will be people that want to argue with what i have said so use your best judgement and dont fall for a bunch of smoke and mirrors sales tactics. Good luck with your decision and god bless.

I AM HAPPY TO SEE YOU ARE FINE AND DOING WELL, LET ALONE GIVING YOUR "OPINION" ON THE MATTER OF MILLS BUT AGAIN ITS UR OPINION AND UR ENTITLED TO IT.
I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO A HE SAID SHE SAID DEBATE WITH YOU BUT LAST TIME I LOOKED THERE NEVER WAS THE NEED TO WORK ON A "SLAT MILL LIKE" TO TRAIN, LET ALONE NEED AEROBIC EXERCISE COMPARED TO ANAEROBIC.

IN GENERAL THE MUSCLES (WHAT YOU ARE BASICALLY TRYING TO EXPLORE AND IMPROVE) IN A NORMAL HUMAN BEING CAN CARRY ABOUT 90 MINS OF HARD TRAINING.

EXHAUSTION (A DOG WILL STOP 10 TIMES FASTER TIRED THAN HURT) WILL DROP THE GLYCOGEN LEVELS AND THAT IS THE PRINCIPLE REASON MARATHON RUNNERS HIT BOTTOM END (AKA THE WALL) BY WORKING AT A LOWER INTENSITY (CARPET, BELT MILL) AND LOADING CARBS WILL SLOW DOWN (DOUBLE THE TIME) OF EXHAUSTION...

NOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND INCREASE FATS AND CARBS "WITHIN" THE MUSCLES YOU WILL INCREASE THE ENDURANCE ON THE ANIMAL ALSO BUT AGAIN YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WHAT YOU ARE TRAINING FOR.

No 2 dogs are alike just like no 2 ppl are alike....just like snowflakes (lolololol) but all kidding aside we can't compare the 2, at all....in my opinion.
We can compare the actual metabolic composition breakdowns but when it comes to levels of glycogens broken down to produce glucose (which in turn undergoes glycolsis) which in turn produces carbon dioxide are completely different on an animal that needs oxygen to breath and fight, whereas a human can have small bursts (attacks) and hold off on the breathing at the same time. The dog has to decide, what does he do, Bite or breath.
So U see it all depends on what U think Ur dog needs to be in tip top shape to "fight" for his life. Not "run" for it.

Still I have the utmost most respect for the men who played this game for real, keep playing and putting their money where their mouths are because they believe in their dog's ability to fight and theirs to shape him to do so at the best possible weight and strength. (that's a whole other topic, lol)

  5. Give me a carpet mill with a little bit of resistance any day.....free-spinning blah blah blah. Why would I want to reduce the effort the dog has to put into the work-out? Why not just prop the dog up on a rape stand with its toes barely dangling on the mill....in order to effectively reduce its sprung body weight during the run? ;)

    The new "special-edition"of hf mills

  7. Theres a few negative experiences coming back from dogtrotter mills, regards hard spinning, or not spinning free enough. Now, thats not a problem if you live in the states, but if you live abroad, your screwed. Shipping one back `just to check ` the issue, would set you back hundreds.
Something to consider, when buying locally.
I find HF mills a tad more expensive than dogtrotter, but that evens out, when you consider the above point ( shipping, faulty mills, etc )

Not to take anything away from the HF folks as I'm sure it's a nice mill but it is a Trotter look alike without all the bells and whistles for more $$ than the Trotter. Sure it might spin an extra couple rounds but it has no shock absorbers, tethering control for a different type of workout and elevated track and other features with a 2 year warranty. I find the price a bit steep and shipping would absolutely kill it for me being in the US. It is a nice mill but you can't really compare the two product. If anything compare it to the killer spinner which is less than half the price and does exactly just that.. spins.

Mecedes benz and BMW like any other auto brand use inovatif ecsomplishments frome echother ""call it espionage"". Enzo Ferarri,s sucsses in racing was due to a ecstream low budged in his days,He was letting or having companies like alpha Romeo mercedes bens ecetera do al the ecspensif research donkey work . and as soon as those new things workt ,he used them as wel!!!!. ferarri up til today is stil doing that.(if your into F1 racing you could know). Because the alu HF mill looks like a dog trotter thussend mean IT IS a copy the dog trotter. nor is dogtrotter a better mill. The Dog Trotter has been used as a model to study and lookt wat made it tick and turn around...
the good points and the weakneses where ecsposed and the HF mill boys are working from that . its the most silend mill we have had . And it turns 4 times. wich is eczackly what you whant... So looking like a Dog Trotter thusend make it a dog trotter ore makes a dog Trotter a better mill....

I am sure the mill is sound just couldnt find anything on it. I'm getting one soon one or another just looking for info.

  15. The biggest benefit, for those this side of the "pond" has got to be cost. Cost of the mill, plus shipping, and possibly then, having to get a damaged mill or a bent mill, which will not make it run as it should.

I think HF have done a fantastic job. This is the best mill seen anywhere in E.U. If i get one, i will be collecting it personally. I will use shipping cost to smoke some weed in bulldog cafe HAHAHA ;)

  16. Hi from what I understand hf mills charge 2600 euros for their mill which is 3403 dollars. dog trotter is 2599 for their best mill the evo pro deluxe. 2600 dollars = 1986 euros. this means that hf mills charge 614 euros more which is 803 dollars.
now even if you live in Europe you can ship a dog trotter for cheaper.I am in no way knocking the hf mill I think they look fantastic but they are a bit too expensive considering that they did somewhat copy the design of the dog trotter and charge more for it . Usually someone who copies a design would charge less but hey it's their choice if they would of been a bit cheaper I would of 100% bought from them but 2600 euros is far too much.

  17. Thats right, the pricing between the two is about right. The limited edition pro, from dogtrotter runs about 3300 usd. Ans i think that includes now, a electric motor attachment that can be used as a elec mill also.

If u only make decision on Price?than Its not smart
U must buy a Mill What u prefer

Or Its a HF Or a trotter Or a Rpm doesnt matter!
Price is al u Pay What u get!!
Standard materiaal From a shop Or special made cnc work
Choise For everybody Or Its important

And dont forget too buy the Right Size of a Mill
Most people take a too small Mill because of the Price

Our mills are perfect For apbt and fits easy on it
We only have 2 Sizes For al dogs!!

Al mills are oke...everybody loves Another Mill
But Please dont compare Prices If u Didnt have eye For important details

  19. I actually looked at all the details or be it the very vague details You give.It looks a very similar design to the evo pro deluxe but it is 800 dollars more.I do like Your mill a lot and I try to pick what I can afford and spending more than 2000 euros on a mill is too much.At the end of the day it does the same thing as some mills which sell for 950 dollars like the rp millmaker only he is a scam artist by the looks of things and likes to keep peoples money without sending the mill.
