Oh and raw is way cheaper in the long run. a 10 lb bag of legs and thighs is 599$ or go to the butcher shop and buy the box 40lbs of necks for 23$ and 20lbs of beef hart for 29$ a few cans of greens and some dimatreasearth a few bags of eggnoodles and screw Kibble.

Well being as right now I cannot handle raw meat, I will have to skip on the raw feedings. :/ I don't have much of a choice.

I would humbly suggest not switching to Exceed... its full of corn, grain sorghum, and barley... Exceed Dog Food | Review and Rating

Bro I wouldnt feed diamond to a yard mutt. I tried to do the purple bag and had to wear a gas mask to pick up. I think now listen if you have a tractor supply co. Get the 4 health 29$ for 40 lbs its about the best I have seen for a good price. I dont know how to post up whats in it but its about like taste of the wild or something. I am a HUGE beliver in feed. I have had dogs sent to me looking like shit befor and they say I cant put wt on or he looks like shit his hair sucks, and in one month on my yard they look Totaly new. It is the feed trust me! you pay now or you PAY later.

I hear you J, I would feed 4health too. I used to shop tractor supply that is where I got my Diamond, I found it at a shop closer here tho. But it is like this all I got a yard mutt, she isn't a performance animal. I would have to get her out in the woods chasing some hogs and have her fail to switch. She does good on the Diamond I doubt she would fail. She also gets meat, fats, broken down veggies but her main diet is diamond.

And here you go the ingredient for 4health.

I hope so too. So far feeding him 3 times a day seems to be working. 1 cup each feeding.

I prefer to stay away from Diamond brand dog foods. ^^; that includes TOTW.

I'm sure it was probably mentioned, but I use some of the foods that PURINA makes. I had a Redboy/Jocko male that was active, even inside and was hard to keep weight on. I started him on Dog Chow and he looks great...Coat is shiny, poops are solid and small and my vet is thrilled how his weight is now fitting him. No, its not the best food, but he loves it and he does very well on it. My allergy dogs get Purina One.

I use to feed Purina Dog Chow when I only had my Bitch. She did very well on the food. Gave her great amounts of energy. Dog would swim for days if you let her! But I changed foods to try and put her on something better and she does well on this food; not as much energy though. Now I have Jud who is more active then she is and I will be starting him in Weight Pulling Training soon... So I need to figure out what the hay is going on with the food and why he isn't putting on weight. I have considered going back to Purina though after reading on it again. Maybe try Purina One or whats the other one? Beyond??

Shit bro by time you spend 50$ for 40 lbs of kibble I can get 50 lbs of chicken I dont mind feeding raw The bigger the bones the better. my pups 1st meal is allways raw. I am not saying i never feed kibble I do sometimes When I am too rushed to feed raw but NO more than 3 days a week do they get kibble. and if I want to show one they get Raw every day it makes a huge differance. I just have a 3ft by 3ft butcher block on my dog yard and a sink with wash rack so I just go out do my thing and it is time to spend in the yard talking to the dogs. Its all the little things that add up. But I do understand those that cant the guys that work alot or what ever the case, I would sell a few where I could affort the Time to do it it will be worth it in the long run, I kinda look at it like when i was training all the time Its like tring to reach a goal and getting stuck. you learn Diet and rest are a big part of it. Its like tring to be a body builder on gas staition food. Its ok to have a bigmac some times but to reach goals you have to eat clean. Not to mention its hot as hell where I live and kibble makes my dogs over heat when I test my products.

Try increasing the fat in the food as others here have already suggested, but also consider switching to a grain-free food like Taste of The Wild.

A carnivore meaning 'meat eater' (Latin, carne meaning 'flesh' and vorare meaning 'to devour') is an organism that derives its energy and nutrient requirements from a diet consisting mainly or exclusively of animal tissue, whether through predation or scavenging.

why are so many people so apprehensive about feeding a carnivore a raw meat diet? the excuse that it's not affordable is complete bullshit when everyone is name dropping expensive products that are "the best".

is it morality towards the treatment of the animals being used for foood? no because you would be immoral for feeding a carnivore anything but meat.

I 100% support a raw diet, but people tend to not have enough money for it, or have partners who don't support feeding an animal "people food".
