Come on Ghost! If you beat your dog or keep it caged up 24/7 you don't expect the dog to have issues? Or what if the dog has some sort of medical issues? I am not making excuses for the dog I am saying the dog is not the problem the owner has caused this dog problems. Some dogs are born mentally fucked up and other's are a result of the owners doing. You can cause a dog to have a bunch of problems by neglecting it, abusing it, and lack of proper training and socialization. So let me ask you this if you beat the shit of the dog i mean fuck that dog up it shouldn't bite you? It's an animal LOL if it feels threatened it's natural instinct is to bite. I have already said the dog needs to be looked at and if the dog has issues than it needs to be put down. But I don't think this dog is Human Aggressive I think the owner caused most of the fear issues with the dog by lack of proper training. I have never tried beating the fuck out of my dog to see if it would bite me it may or may not but I would never do that to my dogs but if I did I wouldn't be pissed at my dog for biting me because I had no business beating on it. I am telling this dude to get some professional help for him and his dog because we don't know what is really going on other than they don't know what they are doing....

 

Well I don't consider my self a professional. But if he's willing to sign a waiver I'll fix both problems. Lmmfao. He never once said he beat the shit outta his dog. But you best believe if my dog chewed up my couch. It's gonna get a boot in the ass( buy I'm not dumb enough to leave my dogs out while I'm gone). Well a pop or swat at the ass is one thing that's not abuse .. When he said he backed it into a corner to discipline it I asked him if he was going to beat the dogs ass because it sounded like he was getting ready to fuck the dog up LOL. The whole story sounded fucked up to me which is why I asked him if he was hitting the dog. They came back and said they don't beat the dog so I will take their word for it. I agree with not leaving a dog home alone to roam the house I know if I did that shit everything in my house would be destroyed when I got home and I wouldn't be pissed at my dog that would be my fault for being stupid enough to leave his ass out. Sounds to me like the dog got the raw end of the deal it's been crated most of it's life and then all the sudden they decide to leave it out because of a break in this dog has never been left uncrated and it's supposed to just know not to mess with the couch? LOL Then the guy wants to come home hours later and hit the dog for something it did while he was gone? I agree with you I would never tolerate one of my dogs biting me. If it bit me unprovoked it would be a dead ass dog. But I really can't blame the dog in this case it seems like the owner is the cause of this dogs problems. And if he created a dangerous or unstable dog from lack of proper training than the dog will have to be put down which is a shame and he shouldn't own another dog until he get's some help.

 

Crimson what do you consider Human Aggressive? I am asking you because maybe we have different views on HA.... Bullyson was known to be Human Aggressive when he went to bite his handler it was completely unexpected unprovoked no warning nothing and he got hit the fuck over the head for it with a shovel LOL. That IMO is what Human Aggression is the dog bites a human for no reason there is no underlying medical reason it just bites out the blue. Those type of dogs you have to throw them their dinner this is what I consider HA a totally mentally unstable unpredictable dog who bites for no reason at all.

Also I am sure you probably have seen this at the dog shows but what about an excite biter? Those dogs are not biting out of fear but frustration they want to get to the other dog so bad they bite or redirect on the owner to be released. I don't know if you consider these dogs HA but we know there are plenty of those in the history of the breed. I personally wouldn't cull a dog for this but I am just asking how you feel about it?

 

Fuck all these different terms and excuses for why a dog bites. It bites me(the person who feeds it) it's one dead ass dog. If it's my dog. My girlfriend had a piece of shit dog. That tried to bite me but since it was her piece of shit I wasn't allowed to put it down. But hey who am I to say, why people make up excusses. My main guess is that they don't have the balls to do what needs to be done.

I myself have had 2 both took dirt naps. I have no time or patience for a dog like that. But to be truthful. I give a dog 2 chances. The first one is a freebie. The second will cost ya

 

Yeah that sounds reasonable to me CG... and so far with the dogs I have owned they seemed to have pretty great temperaments in general it seems like APBT's can really take a lot and don't freak out easily which is why I like the breed so much. I have been bitten by 2 dogs in my life that were not APBT's one was a dalmatian and the other was a rottie. I think any breed can bite for any reason but I understand why it's important with our breed to cull man biters and not take any chances with the state the breed is in. A lot of times you read threads like this and wonder what goes through these owner's minds though when they make poor choices and then decide to punish the dog for it.

I see a thread like this and it shows me that this person has not given clear thought as to what kind of damage a 65LB. APBT is capable of if the next time there is no "warning" growl,snarl and that dog goes right at them.I don't think they have any respect for the breed.If they are responsible for this dogs behavior then I just hope that a kid is not the one who gets bit.

 

Yeah I hear you though I understand where you are coming from and RRL with kids you can't take any risks because your kids can't be replaced a dog can always be replaced. I think the dog will have to be put down because I don't see this owner as one who will follow through and do anything to take responsibility for his actions and the damage he has caused to the dog. I just feel like these dogs always get the rough end of the stick if it's not some fucked up breeder breeding poor examples of the breed it's some POS owner getting a dog and just never giving it the chance it deserves they are ruined before they even get a chance. I think it's fucking sad honestly ...

 

I see what you are saying,but for a pet APBT I see no reason to give these people an excuse to continue being irresponsible.Also for a pet APBT I don't think it's worth the risk that it will not bite next time.That warning is telling them it does not respect their position.At the very least that dog should not be allowed indoors.

it's pretty much pointless/a moot point to punish a dog after the fact. the dog doesn't know what's it's done wrong and all's he/she sees is you going off on it for reasons it can't comprehend. the dog's happy to see you after not seeing you all day and instead of you being happy to see the dog as well, you're giving it a boat load of negative $hit, the reasons of which the dog has NO clue about. people leave dogs out, unattended all day, while they're at work and expect their dogs to know/understand what to get into and what NOT to get into. recipe for disaster! mostly, the O's just end up getting pissed when the dog acts like a dog! :/ spend some positive, QUALITY time with your dog. teach it (to learn) what you expect/want it to do, and if positive results still fail to produce then get a professional trainer and/or someone who specializes in canine behavior. good luck

 

Sadie I don't think that I know all there is to know about pit bull the couch was and old couch that I knew would get messed up and the dog was let out all the time asoon as I get home she gets to play with me or my girl friend 20 to 30 mins when we get home and then gets to be out it is my fault for letting her out all day instead of working with her a little at a time she is back to the normal rutine and I will always supervise her around the kids but she has one more time before I put her done

 

So you want a dog to be a watch dog and meen so you get a dog that will do that those dogs are known for that the bully crap and the big blue crap its just like the rottys and other big watch dog type dogs, But yet you want a game type dog that will never show mea to people, you sound like you dont know what the fuck you want to me. 1 you cant hit a dog for chewin on your couch unless you actually catch em chewin on the couch they wont know or understand y your beatin em lol

2 you cant chance a dog to beat em or call em to a beatin does more harm then good no matter how mad you are at the time

3 me personally growl then bark at me equals kick in the jaws hopefully while their mouths are still opened so i can hear the teeth shut close and right a way within a second of the bark so they understand what they just got kicked in the mouth for lol

4 dog is crate trained always keep the door opened that way if the dog feels the need to run from you while bein punished for something more then likely thats were it will go as a crate trained dog feels safe in the box and if the dog makes it to the crate while your tryin to disiplining it no matter how mad you are leave it in there if your that mad close the door lol
