Famous apbt's mixed with other breeds?

I'm just wonderin what all famous titled dogs is rumored to have a dash of something else in them like mastiff,staff,English, American bd, lab lol anything just curious what might have nicked

LOL thats great!! yall got to admit he came back. LOL. To the OP i never seen one , and about WK. I know two men that went into him. One lost the other won. The man that lost says he had BT in his stuff and the gent that won against WK said the other guy is full of shit and WK had NO bt is his dogs. Who knows, One thing I do know is Both of the guys that knew him say his dogs were among the hardest to live after and his dogs were known to be like ART yummy DOGIE for dinner. Not only would they kill you they would eat your charge too LOL. Hell if I had BT PB crosses like that I would feed a 100 of them lol.

Yeah... I once heard they mixed them with a retriever. So when the opponent jumps the pit, he could bring him right in again.

 

What do ya think the reason is he picked the bt? I don't really get why the bt other than he must of been a helluva dog. ... I know some folks down here he put some English with there carver dogs and bred it out and they were BIG game dogs might of lack a lil ability but u better do it to them or they'll do it to you They put a str8 Colby dog over one of there bitches and I wound up with a male off them and he was a bull dog looked just like his great grandpa Colby's rampage

 

Okay serious now... My opinion is that there is no need for a game bred animal to be mixed with a mutt... Shelters are allready full of those (experimental) examples...

 

I'm not wanting to cross anything into my dogs I was just wondering if anybody else did it and have luck with it kinda like Alvin the dog..... I remember hearin about a big name dogman let a bird dog get to one of his bitches accidentally and sold them as pure and supposedly some of them turned out to win a few but I can't remember who it was

Im not saying he did. I never even seen a dog from him. I dont see why he would he was a very smart man From what I understand. I dont see how you can improve the gamebred APBT in any way by crossing any other type dog in them. I think you would just ruin a litter of puppys.

 

Crossing them could have good results. The f1 crosses might be good animals but each generation after that will be inferior.

 

the only cross i can imagine someone doing would be if your intentions were to create a dog intended for a different purpose....example: apbt x sighthounds make for excellent hunting dogs.

 

im not a breeder but there always exceptions to the rule, ive personally seen our family mutt we had own the shit outta a pitbull in the streets n this was back in 94 or some shit, i was young but i would imagine if the mutt put the dog in a bad spot n the dog was weak minded he could have bailed maby bad handling n a bad ass mutt idk. i read somewhere that someone said a pitbull will always own any diffrent breed other then a pitbul n i know this not to be the truth cause i seen it b4

 

Agreed but only to a point. Hybrid vigor does produce superior dogs for the first generation but the successive generations of garbage would be mostly due to lack of space. Most people lack the resources to properly track all progeny and cull all that lack the desired traits. Therefore all subsequent generations leave much to be desired in their ability to be consistent. Ch psycho did fine from what the stories say, and has a performance line that still endures, but those might just be stories, as long as the American performance dog isn't tampered with I'm fine.
