That Rowdy and Black Talom stuff looks good. I'm surprised Cates didn't use it in his program. I think I saw a breeding with Townsend using that Wild Child stuff.

I had a Nigerino bird dog once....still havent recieved the right puppy i was promised.....

just found this interesting. the niggerino litter was triple bred off eli jr an it produced a gr ch a ch a 2x and a 1x. that is a hellof a litter. an ppl think you need to outcross to get good dogs lol

@ Topbox that litter u got the bird dog from a friend of mine wanted a pup out that same litter, I seen your post and pick well the brakes were pumped on that. But I always been a fan of the Nigerino blood I have a very good one on the yard now who is as good as any out there, gota be careful where u get it from. Yis Ole Man

 

The puppy i got came strait from Townsend.. I meet him at Cates and he droped it off to me. I thought the best place to get a Nigerino dog would be from the source its self. Cates had nothing to do with the bird dog other than he wanted to have one out of that litter but decided to it my way for an outcross i was going to make. Sad part is there were alot in that litter and some in different litters that all had the same blood. Ide love to try the dogs but have yet to see one here worth keeping. Townsends Earl T that i picked up around the same time is a wall jumper and was breed before i got him and had never been tried until I hit him with a prospect.....He had to leave this yard.... should have dug a hole....another person that didnt stick to what they promised.... If I can trust someone that has the blood ide try it again.

 

you just talkin about nigerino blood in general topbox? or a particular dog on terrys yard?

 

Not every nigerino dog just some through the past few years... or who knows how long its been happening.....Man owns bird dogs and bulldogs so one can never tell when on jumped the fence......but is was in the first dog i got from him. I have nothing against Nigerino blood.... just had an issue with the breeder.....never a problem with cates.....just still waiting for one out of Jimmy i was promised.....over 1 1/2 years ago......I have $1500 in there dogs and still havent seen one show up.

 

Id contact sam, or chalk the loss and go to a whole new scource.........

 

I hear u Top, 15yrs back the Nigerino dogs were bulldogs then like alot of lines got watered down. Cates always been friendly when we spoke never got anything from him or Terry. The one I have is from the older stuff and true to form in every way. Alot of pretty paper breedings hurt the line, but there r still good ones out there even one in my own backyard lol. I heard about the bird dog incident. It's unfortunate that this happened. Business aside, a cur dog getting @ a bitch in heat is something that happens to almost every breeder at one point or another. It sucks, in plain english. My dog from CATES KENNELS is 11 months now, looks and acts like a NIGERINO dog(red/blk mask) and I'm happy thus far. SANDERS (CATES) BARBARINO off CATES JIMMY X RED VELVET KITTY.
