Denver, CO -- The City Council in Aurora will vote Monday night on a controversial plan to ban pit bulls.

The ban on the breed, which is expected to pass, would force current pit bull owners to pay licensing fees of $600 in order to keep their dogs in the city, but would not allow new pit bulls to move into the city.

If the law passes, current pit bull owners would have 60 days to register their animals and get at least $100,000 in liability insurance.

  2. Punish the individual not the whole. Would it be fair to punish all white men that fit a similiar profile to say Scott Peterson because of the unjust slaying of his wife and unborn child? What is worse a dog who is thought to be a pit bull not being trained and raised properly harming a human because he is rotecting what is his or a human malicioulsy plotting to kill someone as close to him as his wife and as innocent as an unborn baby. It just doesnt add up to me!
