Your option is to own any stud in history and collect stud fee's and pups to get your yard started, who is your stud going to be and why? Lets limit it to deceased dogs in case people dont have their thinkin caps on today!

Well if it was not going to be one of my own, I would have to go with Deacon. Then I could recreate the best stud dog I ever had. Like SOS said, you could breed Deacon to a fence post and get good dogs. If you bred him to a good bitch, look TF out.

It would be nice if you guy/girls can state why you chose that particular stud

Cause they produced!!! Big John just how rough he was. Lungs out of bodies speak for themselves. Jeep, well really the ROM record should speak for it self

I would go with Mr. Bulldog. He produced some really good dogs and didn't get the credit he deserves. Then I would be sitting on peaches. lol

Very hard choice but I would go with Bull Boy Bob among many others. His ability to produce and offsprings ability to produce is a line of dogs I wouldn't mind putting my faith behind.

Gr. Ch. Buck - A proven, deep game dog, that produced. Plus, he was a BEAUTIFUL dog.

Shorty cowboy!!...he was a flat out stud!!...everything he was stucc to produced excellent offspring!...they came with hard mouths, thick boned and long!..although alot of his offspring never had to prove their gameness because they would finish quick, their was some that were game as they come.

Boomerang! If you look at dogs like queen of hearts, mongoose you will find old Boomer back there. I think he was the link from good to great. A bunch of time tested breeding programs incorporated Boomerang.

My second choice would be Spanky. The reason I would choose Deacon with Spanky as a close second is because they were both very high percentage producers, I knew both dogs and had some of their offspring.

Ch Jeep, produced 15+ Ch and also 8+ ROMs.. Can't argue with that..

Stu Fowler, forgotten hero and behind many a good dog.. Look at breeding to Red Lady and possibly one of best breedings done..

Ch Pistol Pete or Carver Pistol- Pistol behind many great dogs too many to count.. He is just about as influential as Eli Jr Bullyson & Brendy litter.. If not him then one of his great grand sons Rick's Ch Pistol Pete. He produced some helluva hounds and Ronnie D was becoming a top breeder of his time.. He also bred them like I like them, rough intense game dogs and he culled with hard practice.. No turning or no flinching or you wouldn't be part of the yard..

I also think I would go with buck. A nice dog with ability that won with a combination ot intelligence, ability and gameness rather than with brute strength and mouth. He produced great dogs that produced great. Created some phenomenal dogs both line bred and outcrossed

I like Boomerang & O. Stevens' Homer. Would have to go with Homer though, the limited breedings done with him resulted in enough good dogs that also produced well.

Yeah, I would go to say Homer was a better dog and producer than Jeep
