Ch. STP's Bonnie was a Linebred Eli dog bred to Buck and 1 of his best litters. Other than the 25% greenwood blood on top 75% of her was a heavy eli breeding. 3 out of 4 from this litter. St Benedict's Bon Bon ROM, STP's Lil Bonnie 2xw, and Ch STP's BB 3xw. The last was a brother named Rupert's Woody that I dont know about.

Somebody did breed Rupert's Woody though and he had a nice looking son.

I myself own this male and have no complaints.

stp could care less how buck was bred. they bred best to best. and as far as patrick he bred and sold so many dogs there's a good chance he didn't know or remember who buck was off. he sold the dog as a pet and later said he didn't really care for buck, that he had better dogs on his yard.

Finally someone posted this. PP wanted to buy buck back after he made gr ch. Stp did not want to sell the dog to him so to pat, the dog wasn't nothing but an average bolio dog and he changed the ped to be a tighter bred bolio dog. Pat never produced a dog as good as buck. not even close

The first pedigree is probably right. That one shows Buck as being from Golden Boy to Red Lady. That was the ped that was given to the buyer, there is no reason for the breeder to have lied to the buyer about how the puppy was bred. Even if the breeder lied to the buyer, how would the breeder (who had probably sold 100s, maybe 1000s of puppies) remember after the puppy became famous that the original ped was wrong?

  13. It wasn't until after the sire to the original paperwork died and Buck was showing real promise after his 4th when PP changed the paperwok. PP needed a new #1 stud dog. PP was promoting his stud dogs. STP didn't get Buck until after he made CH in the hands of Allen Waldman. PP never was able to reproduce Buck because Buck's true sire was dead.

Ok well I just got off the phone with Lola's breeder he has a hand written pedigree signed by Pat Patrick himself and his wife that states Buck was a Maloney dog. He did change ped's to make it appear that buck was heavy bred bolio dog after buck started to come up so basically it was a money thing that is why he changed paperwork.

When a question between two peds comes up sometimes a look at the dog on question will reveal the answer. Bucks looks like a Maloney dog to me.

Man those butkus dogs all look alike. I had one off of bronze that looked exactly like your male

Yes they do look alike and what trips me out is ppl saying Ratliff used Lonzo dogs in his Butkus stuff cause of look and them being on the yard. Gaston, Hollinsworth, Ratliff, Undertaker, etc Buck/Tombstone dogs have the same build in consistency. Now did they have Lonzo dogs too or vindicator. Also looking at the Hollinsworth dogs and Buck dogs to me compared to other Bolio dogs shows much bigger an influence Tombstone had on these dogs. Also shows the selectivity in the Crabbs/Butkus dogs. This gene pool really brings the Maloney family together with a touch of Bolio here and there.
