I have a an APBT with a 5+gen. history. I understand I can't register him w/the ADBA and other such registry's. What scenario would allow me to ultimately register his future offspring? Tks.

Why can't he be reg'd with the ADBA?

I don't have a current pedigree on him, just a recorded 5 gen. recorded history.

  5. You're pretty much out of luck

So, there is NO scenario in which I can ultimately register his offspring and get his line back in the record?

1st let me say I don't have any immediate plans to breed my dog. What if he was registered w/a less restrictive registry (CKC, APBR, etc). Then breed him with an ADBA bitch. Couldn't I then "single" register one pup, breed him/her and their litter would all be registered from there on out???

Why not spay her, call it a day, and get one that is already papered up after you've learned more about the breed?

That last reply is not really a response to my question. To give my background, my "male" dog is a 10+gen family hunting dog/for hunting he is one of the best. I would just like to see the line get back on the books.

Well, you have more replies to your question than a lil bit, and you are still trying to find a way around it... since it don't seem possible I tried to give you another avenue to get dogs "on the books".

  12. No you cannot do that. You are stuck with your unregistered dog. Learn a lesson and deal with reputable people from now on. All this talk of trying to convince us it's a good dog is getting you nowhere as I can assure you nobody cares.

To be honest if you have a record on your dog and his family and he is that good that's all that matters ......papers don't mean squat all my dogs are registered still in the breeders name I keep a record of them for my self my best dog on my yard has no papers but I know how he is bred least I think i do lol but I dont care ......papers don't keep chain spots bulldogs do!

  14. If the breeder you got your dog from can provide a verifiable ped to the sire and dam of your pup you can register your dog with a single aplication Threw the adba. And play nice when you come back these folks are waiting with ruler in hand to lay the smack down. Yfis fl boy
