Looking for true APBT breeder

I am in the Navy and currently stationed in NJ and cannot find a reputable breeder nearby. Ive read a lot of the threads on this site and a lot of posters make it sound like they fight their dogs, ot seems like every thread in some way shape or form winds up bashing a kennel and saying whoever isnt "game" or have a "hard mouth."

Ive had 3 supposed Amstaffs over the years and would like a smaller fit dog. I would like toget into dock jumping bc my past 3 dogs loved it (so does my current Min Pin). I would also like to get it into weight pulling.

I contacted Nevada kennels which have some nice show dogs but they dont have a breesing scheduled in the near future. The lady I emailed said she would contact me when she does. Being that I will have to deploy on a ship in three years I wluld like to het a dog sooner than later so I can properly train it and jave the piece of mind im leaving a good dog with my girl while im sailing for 6 months.

Can anyone recommend a good breeder from say Ny to NC? I would rather meet the breedsr and their dogs but if its a good kennel and I get the right vibe from them over the phone I wouldnt be opposed to shipping.

    Thanks in advance,
    Zach

Lou Colby lives close to you, he seems real enough for me.

Thank you for the reply, I looked at Colbys website but the last dog in their current dog pics was from 2006 and all of the pics were owned by family also a couple of their links were dead. I sent an email to the address posted on their website but havent received a reply yet. I thought maybe they didnt sell to the general public. I also figured they would be absurdly expdnsive because of their history. I love the breed but we dont make that much $$$ in the military. Sorry for all the typos, Im posting from my phone.

Having been into dawgs nearly 32 yrs, I highly recommend LOU COLBY in Newburyport, MA. Since he's nearly 90 yrs old, I suggest you write him, or if you call, always do b4 8pm! (He goes to bed early) I cannot stress enough the value of owning a Colby-bred dawg. They are by far the smartest line I've ever owned (I've also owned Hank, Booger, Honeybunch, Alligator, Ely and 6-Bits lines).

    Stay safe!!! sans

Impact, its no problem. Im a lifer, Ive got 8 more years, not waiting that long. Im 31 with a family, its going to be a family pet that will travel with us where ever we go. Im in the Navy, when they send us where ever they want 99% of the time its to the middle east, my deployments are usually 6 months long and I come back home till the next one. My significant other has also owned the breed so we are not new to them. Ive got a couple more years left in NJ on shore duty, i'll have plenty of time to get aquainted with the dog.

Sanspuer, if I dont get a reply from the colbys I will call the number on their website. Do you know about how much they sell for?

Thank you all for the advice!

They are prohibited on all military installations, Ive been in for 11 years and have yet to live on base and I never will, ive got no plans on living next door to the people I work and deploy with. I apreciate all the concerns but we've covered the what ifs. Im an Admin Officer im pretty detailed oriented.
