think i upset my neighbour basically his bitch has just had her first litter and droppd 16  two died within the hour, now i asked how she was coping he said she was struggling, i looked at the pups they seemed a bit on the small side, so i suggested maybe culling a few or hand feeding them either way your gonna need to help your bitch out. what would you do?

rotate the pups they will all live if you take care of them . i've raised 14 pups 3 different times and they all lived . i know of a frozen breeding that produced 19 and they all lived . it depends on how good the mother is with them . and you have to start them on puppy food by 3 1/2 weeks and still let the mom feed them to .

he said its a pitbull x american bulldog, hes bred it to another american bulldog, a big mofo at that, hence why i was a little surprised with the pups being so small. My own bitch has just had pups two days before his and they were bigger despite being staffordshire bull terriers. Personally i think hes lookin at the financial gain that can be made

ye i think thats what the guy is gonna do, i gave him a couple of hot water bottles yesterday, rather him then me i think 14 puppies running around would soon become tiresome haha

My last bitch(the one in the avatar) had 18 and 2 died. The second time she had 15. At that time I though it was a normal litter size.

the pups are small because she had a big litter . or she had a big litter and should have feed her more . the pups do become tiresome , but if you bred her for a good reason . all the pups you can get is better .

i bet a pitXam. bulldog would make a pretty deacent catch dog...

Poor guy to get 19 pups... Personally i would want to keep to whole litter and the more you give away/sell/kill the bigger the chance is that you get rid of a good dog because not every breeder has the amount of space to house 19 pups for at least 2 years.

he aint holding any back that im aware of, he went with a am bulldog for size, typical byb to be honest, as for feeding im not sure how much he is putting into the bitch hes a nice enough guy but i wouldnt have one of these pups of him to put it bluntly.

you only want pure bred dogs . and try to get them under 50 lbs . it's better to have them 30-40 lbs .

ye i know this but this guy is feeding the trend round here of big dogs for the wannabe gangsta, dont agree with it but there his dogs i told him my opinion so im just gonna leave him to it, if he ends up with sickly dogs then thats his problem.

well remember i would help him so he does'nt get parvo and expose it to your yard . it can be blown in the wild from 1-2 streets away . it move in the wind as dust . and you can get it in your yard . tell him to give the pups shots at 3-6-9-12 weeks . then your yards safe . :)
