Info on irish staffordshire bull terriers

I have been interested in the irish stafford for a few years now,and i cannot find much infomation on the temprement of the breed,could some one help me on the subject please

 

No different to any stafford (except the modern kc mutt) or bull terrier breeds.A lot has to do with the way it is raised from a pup,in some pups you do get the exception to the rule. Imo staffs take a lot of beating in the temperment stakes and are a pleasure to own,as they are great all rounders.

ive heard the Irish stafford will tarmac you drive a hell of a lot faster than any English stafford will! it's those long legs, they can get more done quicker.

Thanks for the info mate! What´s your opinion on stealing all the dogs out of your kennels? Would the English or the Irish Stafford be the fastest?

 

This is total Bs.
not trying to bash you or ne thing. but it is an actual breed. you could maybeconsider it a Line.
It was indeed developed from the Old WORKING staffordshire Bull Terrier (keyword = working) this was Before dogshows took it's effect on the breed.
Four best known lines were Psycho, Flynn and dublin red. also had stormer but he was half BT.

 

The guy was asking about temperment NOT strains, i guess you read my post wrong!! But i will say this there has NEVER been a Stormer line.

Back to Stormer.. I have my doubts on it as well.
I gues the dog only got name cause he beat Psycho, (which was a bs match ne way if the story is true)
Never seen other dogs that were realy based on Stormer.

Lets keep in mind then (if the story is correct)
Seems that before the match Psycho was put on a badger.
To me that would be just stupid/dumb whatever you wanna call it.

 

The man that owned Psycho is on this board and might well tell us the truth of the matter, not sure if he owned him at the time though.......it does seem like an amateur / stupid thing to do though so I have my doubts

 

Do you seriously believe a dog would be worked on a badger before a contracted match for money
