  3. People are laughing because in all honesty, there is no such thing as "reverse brindle" it is just a term some people use to describe a brindle where the darker or black color is the "background" and the other lighter color is the "stripes". In reality they are all just brindle. Seems the term has been catching on with more and more breeders.

I think the AKC recognizes the term "reverse brindle" in reference to the Boxer breed only. Not that I give two shits what the AKC says. ;)

  4. Screw my last post, I worded crap wrong about brindling.

If you want to be technical:

It is just a term some people use to describe a brindle that has such heavy black/dark brindling that the darker or black brindle color appears to be the "background" and the other lighter color appears to be the "stripes" - creating the illusion that the dog has the opposite color patterning to "normal brindle". In reality they are all just brindle. Seems the term has been catching on with more and more breeders.

Gotcha! Well I guess she is just fawn brindle then? Cause my dog Boss, is black and fawn, but I thought that's called black brindle cause he's mostly black with fawn stripes??

Thanks so much for your help, everyone!

I decided on Tika. It means Hyena in an african tribe language. Which is what she reminds me of...personality wise and looks wise lol.

I got her from the only breeder I could find anywhere near me lol in North Brampton, ON. This is only his second litter and these pups are not to be bred.

There's another breeder I found in QC but I wanted to be able to meet the dam, sire and breeder.
