Didn't mean no disrespect but yes you did say that was the problem in my above quote! Breeding "best to best" regardless of bloodlines/family is oldschool...not best to best based on a Family of dogs (inbreeding and line breeding).

And I never stated anything about you downing your country.

No disrespect taken Flip! Yes I originally said "problem"....maybe it was the wrong choice of word to say. He say she say is the only thing that was misunderstood! No hard feelings!

I talk to a lot of pinoys that love the dogs but don't totally understand the concept of building a family and how certain bloodlines click better then others. I wasn't disrespecting what the dogmen in PI are doing....only pointing out that they don't have all the resources as we do here in the states(nutrition, keeps, supplements, different bloodlines, etc). That is the only reason why I feel that the PI is just a step behind!

In another 10-15 years from now....I feel that the rest of the world will surpass the US because of all the legislation that is going on with our breed here in the US. It won't be long before they outlaw these dogs totally.

We can agree to disagree all day long... but I know the PI has fastlane dogs!

i think it will less than 10-15 years for the PI and aalot less for europe and mexicans to surpass the yanks....

No worries...easy mis-understanding. I agree there resources are limited...but what I do like is the amount of people in a working kennel or team. Mostly the wealthier dogmen can do this with hired help or even family...but they do work together to keep the yard maintained and dogs steadily worked...which is a bonus in my eyes!

And yes..legislation will set back the breed back but the private lowkey dogmen will always remain. I'm going through BSL right now and let me tell it was a bless in disguise to some degree...it got rid of all the street, backyard and irresponsible people from owning this breed.

I was brought of the old school way also...So i agree wit u Spike.. Use to be u pick a family of dogs and u ride with them taking best to best within the family..Now no one has the patience to do it i guess. Like u said its not rocket science to do the battlecross. So thats what they do. I keep doing it the old way though. I found my family and i will ride with them, instead of being a bandwagon jumper.

The breeder /dogman told me that with proper training, it has all the potentials to follow and continue the legacy of his sires, with Ch and Gr. Ch. standing.
