My one dog has these bumps that stick up from her fur. They are some kind of infection.I took her to the vets. Its not mange he says. They itch her and she bites them. She doesn't have hair loss. The vet seems to think its like fire ants biting her then she bit the wounds. He has her on Benadryll and a antibiotic. She had to take pills for a illness so my wife puts her pills in Liverwurst.Has anyone ever heard of Liverwurst causing a problem before? Any ideas at all would be appreciated.

I took my dog to an area he hadnt been before,He was exploring and playing in grass.Next day he had same symptoms as you described.
I washed him in warm water, then with my hands wiped the excess water from his fur.
I then made a 50/50 mix of Braggs Apple cider vinegar and warm water puored it over him and let him dry off in the sun.
The next day they were completely gone.

The last pic looks like mosquito bites.... I put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray the bumpyarea, that removes any bumps I've ever seen in 12 hours or less.

One of my bitches got it, was a reaction to a bite from something, or something she had rubbed against, Hives.
Vet jabed her up with some antihystemines and sent me home with a few pills.

I was in a big of a panic as i had no clue what they were, he said they were mild, when they start to join up then its pretty bad.

This pic is not mine just a great example, from PB Chat.

  10. Does yhour gyp eat chicken or chicken bi-products? One of my gyps was allergic to chicken so I changed her to a lamb and rice kibble and the bumps went away in a few days. They were nothing like the ones in that pic though.

you know with mine i was giving a 1 fish oil pill daily and have been for a long while. i noticed one day that its glands on the stifle joint were red and swollen and that his body had hives all over. i brought the dog in because i thought it was maybe from them big horse flies to see if that was doing it. it ended up being a allergic reaction from the over kill of Fish oil pills i was giving to the dog. The pills are dosed at 1200mg and i was giving one per meal. after figuring that it wasn't the horse flies i cut back on the fish oil and now give it 3 times a week instead of 7 days a week. i was freaking out though when i seen them bumps on my dog though. for my case it was a supplement i was using that took the dog for a bumpy ride lol........ maybe its a allergic reaction to a food or supplement..

they say fish oil can be given daily though? i guess to much of a good thing is actually bad lol

  20. Many Apbt's have seasonal allergies and many of those are inhaled by them simply breathing. Bumps, iching and head shaking (histamine in the ear) are common signs............. 1/2 a 180mg. allergra 1 time a day in the spring and fall months works extremely well for this. This is straight from a vet tech and I have personally seen it done for 3 springs and 2 fall's so far and the same dog and it works every time. This is more common than you'd ever think in the breed.
