wat is a water down ped

only 1 dog's name is in color, and there are no "titles"...therefore the dogs are "garbage" and "watered down" by interwebz dogman logicz

 

To me a watered down pedigree is totally dependent on the one behind it. Doesn't matter if that dogs pedigree is so colorful it looks like it was written in crayon to me it's all about the dogs behind it, and the one doing the breeding. So a watered down pedigree I suppose is something that is just bred for the sake of pretty papers or just bred to be bred, and not on a solid family of performance dogs.

 

That ped looks pretty damn good to me.......

 

what if the ped had one name on it and the person tested and culled his dogs for his own personal reasons?does that make it watered down or just smart?

 

i was gonna get to that but since you beat me to it , can you breeders please explain to . if your culling through honest looking how can you consider one water down , now maybe when you breed untest dogs for more then a few generations then i would call that peddling ,but wat is a water done ped ,i cant stand when some one isnt familar with a particular dog its water down ashame that dog might aswhile earned the right to be bred..

 

Forget colors and titles in peds...I know a couple diff breeders/dogmen that don't use them for the sole purpose of keeping nosey little piggys away.... Can u say "Down Low"?

 

PRETTY SOON everyone better be writing their own peds !! like the old days , i write/make the ped for my brood bitch . i know lots that do but only buy from a couple that can be trusted !

but alot of people who really dont know much would consider it a watered down ped solely because there is not a bundle of information on the ped...oh, and the dog is of "garbage" blood too...again, according to the internet gurus.

watered down ped is one basically being sold because of the dogs 3,4 or 5 generations back that were probably very good/famous dogs. But the current dog is nothing like its ancestors due to poor testing/breeding practices in the most recent generations.

can come from breeding pups 2 or 3 generations in a row

 

the thing is to know the dogs & where they came from , theirs alot of badd ass winning champions & gr ch but it was never an official contracted match & thats a fact & also their alot of bullshit make believe winners & champs poping up every day :rolleyes:

 

What exactly makes it an official contracted match? Do you send it in to the state athletic commisssion?

 

so basicly water down has no sure meaning,but more of an opion.(known dogs mixed with unknowndogs),to beef the ped alittel?

 

It's a heinzl/colby dog, in my opinion any dog who has those dogs in a four generation ped is the farthest thing from watered down. In my opinion watered down comes from people breeding young dogs when they still have access to dogs generations before.

A watered down Ped means that the true blood has been to far back with dogs bred off it that are not true representatives of the line. Meaning garbage that has a good dog back and the dogs of recent times are just pretty papered dogs.
