ok so i have a 4 year old male who just wont stay on the chain...or in a kennel or in a yard..only place he'll stay calm and polite is in his crate in the house...but the problem is i really need him to be on a chain but i dont know how to make it so that he cant escape...he's already gotten off and done damage to other dogs i own since he's catchweight being 68 lbs and the closest to him is his son at 66lbs...but other then that my dogs are all 40 and 50 region so its a danger to them for his big ass to be running loose...ive tightened his collar so thats its probably considered to tight and he finds a way to twist free i put him in a harness and again he got out of a harness(I Dont have a Clue)...he's ripped Cyclone off the poles of the kennels i have outside that are on concrete slabs and he either digs under the 8 ft wooden security fence or pulls the planks of wood off..HE'S A MONSTER and i damn near cant contain him...all he wants to do is be inside with his daddy (me) or fighting another one of my dogs on the yard...please i need advice ive named but a few things if tried and he's gotten loose like he thinks its a game were playing...

Try using 2 collars from Stillwater with 2 collar rings he wont come lose on that equipment.

I hope the chain link isn't the cheap stuff you buy at the home improvement stores or farm supply stores...might as well put up chicken wire.

Since this dog has learned he CAN get loose, WATCH HIM when you change it up...he may put up a heck of a fight trying to get loose and hurt himself.

I always use the 4-ply seatbelt collars 1.5"-2" depending on the size of the dog, if your doubling up i'd prolly use two 1.5" 4ply's. everything from stillwater is of great quality though.

I had the same problem with my monster.Since I went to a axle set up & stillwater collar NO MORE PROBLEM.There collars are the best I have ever bought the seat belt 3" is what I use.double ring & on top of that I use another collar.Might be a little over kill but guess what no more escaping.

We had one that had to be kept in a horse stall on a chain, he spent majority of his time trying to escape, ruined plenty of dogs. Even got loose at my teachers yard and killed one of his brood stock male, he ended up getten killed by farmer down the road after gettin a hold of his horse. every time he got loose he caused tons of damage. secure him now before we read abot it in news paper.

I would do the 2 collars ( 1in and a 2in dble ply or more) , 2 O rings.. A chain is only as good as its weakest link, so from Point A to Point Z.. should be on point

I know the feeling, i have two escape artists on my yard. I was forced to build above ground pens. That has been the best thing i couldve done and its been working great for the past 3years.
