I was only asking were is this red red nose gene coming from as I have been a big fan of the garner dog and have owned many my self and even when we bred a son off frico to a devil deacon bitch that chinaman gene ran strong bred a son of that breeding to a daughter off hap making them 3/25 redboy and that chinaman gene was still strong no the pure stuff off of garners king bred to a granddaughter of kellys mojo looks 1000% the same as my 1/25 chinaman dogs when bred to gether they look like ch chinaman him self! Not a rednose get not to say that gene not gonna pop up caude it will and when it does I would know were it comes from! So if u own a rednose bred chinaman dog would u not want to know were that gene coming from? I could carless about hear say! And as for the santos pup I drove 16hours to pick up was a waste now dont get me wrong mr garner is hero in my book studie he breeding and have had great results mr ganer thanks for blessing me with a line of bulldogs I will stand behind any day! But if u could just let me know were that gene is poping up from

Thats funny, considering Fatbill said that he bred a couple gyps to him (including Ch.Bolero) and got pups each time.. And this was after he came to NC as a older dog..

 

It's more simple than all that.

Chinaman produced red nose dogs, frisco threw red nose dogs. So both dogs were Bb dogs, this mean they were black nosed but had recessive red nose. If any of those were BB (black dominant), their direct offspring would never come in a red nose, but their 2-3 generation descendency could (depending on the dams side).

Now back on chinaman/frisco, depending on the dam being breed and the % of turning out Bb or BB (this is impossible to know, dogs do not come with a label on this) and how they were still breed around the same family, it makes possible to get red nosed dogs. Even more when you double up and inbreed (full brothers) using a Bb dog (Frisco).

Also, if anyone has seen Otter Knls yard tape, you'll see that CM said that he raised 23 or 24 pups off breedings he did with his gyps to Chinaman (and only Ch.Croc worked out)..

 

I was in the process to import a pregnant bitch and at that time he had one pregnant off Sluggo, which we liked.

Those are truly some amazing looking animals. If I decide to get a pup off Santos or Sluggo I seriously hope they turn out as conformationally sound as yours.
