If the wolf was really truely a bad ass then why the creation of the pit dog and not just wolf vs wolf ?

The APBT was created for dog on dog combat, wolves are hunters and generally hunt in packs. A wolf can be a great adversary however that is not thier primary function. The APBT on the other hand was bred to stare down its adversary and not quit even if giving its life in the process....The APBT is and always has been the top athlete for dog on dog combat, if not then the breed would cease to exist.
