Bully dogs

yea ik its long commitment ive owned and am still owning dogs i just wanted to look at some good breeders bt yea ran into the bully problem bt ill take your advice n go to shows n get to now ppl

 

No, most APBT breeders value their freedom and the lives of thier dogs and don't deal with common people. The average person has no business with an APBT anyways.

The best advise was already given. If you really wanted an APBT and understand the responsiblity of owning these dogs, they'll be someone that will take you under their wing. Get out and meet some folks, who knows, maybe your best dog will be given to you for free.

 

thats some good advise im going to take myself.i've been doing alot of calling people,emailing,and looking on line.im going to have to make it out to a show.not too many show close to el paso that i know of.if anybody has any info on shows i'd really appreciate it.being that the holidays are so close,it would be easier after the holidays.my kids and wife dont understant why im being so picky about getting a pup.my wife almost bought a $50.00 pup from some kid at target!!!!!

 

When I am bored I will google that and only find Bully dogs...

i started out my passion for pitbulls with gamedogs....nothing fancy just good old chicago bred gamedogs my brother used to keep...they came down from joe corvino....anyway,,,i was young then and by the time i got old enough to get my own gamedog, my brother had sold the last of his stock 5 years before....needless to say with the way this game is, i wasn't able to find a good breeder anywhere. nobody wants to talk to a "newbie" and my brother didnt even want to talk dogs...he had lost total interest...i was stuck. i didnt want to buy a dog off the net because i wanted to know exactly wat i was getting. i was on the message boards day and night (around 1999-2000, back when there was still alot of boards up)researching bloodlines and reading up on everything gamedog.....i wanted me a nice gamedog to show but i just didnt know where to go....anyway, i kept a few dogs i bought out of the newspaper and practiced keeps i read about online...i was never able to campaign my dogs because nobody i knew even knew how a proper show was setup or carried out....anyway,,,i sold my dogs ab 2 years ago and just decided i would never have my gr ch.....my cuzin had been breeding american bullies all along and since i thought i would never get my chance to purchase a well bred gamedog and campaign him, i gave my cuzin a call and got my first bully.....i must say, i love the american bullies. i used to really have a problem with the breed because people advertised them as pitbulls and they are definately not pits...i can still appreciate them though. i cant argue the fact that they are gorgeaus and impressive dogs. i have 4 now and they come down from abkc champions,my cousin and i have some of the best razors edge blood to be found in the midwest but it doesnt satisfy my itch...i NEED a gamedog in my life. maybe not to campaign, just to have and know what my dog is capable of. i remember being a child (no more than 10 years old) and secretely writing to the GAZETTE behind my brothers back (i thought they were a kennel LOL) and asking them to please send me a well bred gamedog so i could make him a champ. i was soooo serious about that lol. needless to say, they never sent me a dog .LOL....i continued my quest for gamedog knowledge, learning everything off the net and the books i ordered..the last one being dogs of velvet and steel(i hope i didnt mess up the name) which i never received lol....but when my computer crashed about 10 years ago i had no access to the gamedog world...i got a new laptop yesterday and the first thing i did was look up gamedog links...most of the old sites i used to be on ALLLL DAY are gone and im lucky i came across this one...i hope to continue learning about this wonderful breed and hopefully sometime soon, own the dog of my dreams. (it doesnt seem like much has changed since i last was able to go on a game dog board except, back then people were still doubting the mayday dogs and now it seems the line is up there with all the greats i used to read about...) im sorry, i jsut realized im rambling but u gotta excuse me because its about 2 or 3 in the am here in the windy city and i have been at this dam computer for hours saving all the pics of the gamedogs i grew up reading about and trying to find some good places to talk dogs and hopefully meet some good dogmen at....thanks for keeping my passion alive.
