i called my raw food supplier and made my chicken back and turkey neck order today, i asked them if they carry tripe and they said they have honey comb tripe.

  6. wear some gloves if u dont want your hands to stink for days. lol learn the hard way.

  7. I personally treat tripe as a muscle meat. For organ meat I usually feed liver and kidneys.
Green tripe is very nutritious and is great if you can get it,I wish I could get here again.

the best thing about it is that it does not take a whole lot. it works really well as a "supplement of sorts". it is chocked full of natural enzymes that break down food in the cows stomach...those enzymes in turn do that for the dog....it helps with assimilation of what has been fed to the dog....it is a post work out must as an additive to supplementation....but, it will gag a maggott...stinks that bad....i get the 10lb chubs frozen and band saw them to patties and use them daily after a workout....s.

look on that site for a distributor in your area. PETCO carries a canned version that is the next best thing. they will order but do not carry it in stores. or, if there is a butcher/slaughterhouse near you...the best way but way messy....s

Petco's version of tripe is the solid gold tripe dog food. It's not only tripe but includes meat, potatoes and veggies.

If you want a canned version Trippett or Before Grain both make canned versions without other meat, veggies, or grains added. BG is only tripe I believe. . with water maybe. Trippett, I use most of the time as it's 1/2 the price, is Tripe with garlic and water.

Honey Comb tripe does not mean it is green tripe. The honey comb is only one section of a cows four chambered stomach. Make sure it is green tripe and not just tripe that has already been bleached and blanched.
