Anyone catch the fight between Machida and Shogun last night? I'll watch the fight again but from what I see Shogun was robbed.

I thought Machida won. IMO, he was the aggressor. Rua had some vicious kicks, but everytime he had a kick, Machida had a punch, but it was Machida that was attacking and not Rua.When Rua tried an attack he was unsuccessful. He did a great job of counterstriking, but IMO, in order to take the Championship he needed to be more aggressive. Close fight though.

 

Yeah. It was BS, even machida fans are saying that shogun clearly won. #$@$@# Biased judges

 

Im not %100 sure, but i think i read somewhere, that in mma, when its a champion ship fight, if it goes to the disicion , the current champ still retains the belt. I saw the last round on youtube and it did look like Shogun was the more aggressor. On a side note, i believe Shogun would dismantle Forrest now.....

 

The meaningful shots that were landed came from Shogun, those body and leg kicks were brutal. I think the only people scoring that fight for Machida were the 3 judges.

This is one of the many reasons I stopped watching boxing. Horrible decisions when you have a clear winner. I feel so bad for Rua. When I saw that Cecil Peoples was a judge I knew it couldn't end well.
Well the UFC announced today to mmaweekly that there will be a rematch.
Yahoo's Cage Writer has "fighter Twitter reactions to the Shogun/Machida decision" all of which calling it a robbery.

 

It was a good fight, and a close one, too, but I definitely agree that Shogun won that fight. But Dana White, Shogun, and Machida have all agreed to do an immediate rematch. I think that Machida is a legit guy, I don't think he takes any pride in keeping the belt unless it's obvious to everyone that he should have it, like it was up until last night.

 

NOw I like MAchida. Hes a great fihgter and all. But Shogun won 4 rounds clearly and Machida might of ahad one. So I think this is one big robbery. Only thing worse would be if they steal his pants too.

 

robbed was shogun...also..think the carwin/brock battle is going to be a real goodn....either man could blow the other away with a shot....but im going for big brock ground n pound.....

 

The Lesnar fight has been postponed to UFC 108 in January. Lesnar has been sick and unable to train, so the news says.

UFC 105 soon Time for the UK fighters to shine. Especially looking forward to Terry Etim and Dan Hardy. Bisping needs to redeem himself after that showing at 100

 

dan hardy is a goodn....but just seems the type of cunt to cause trouble in an empty phone box lol....and i hear his blood behind him aint got many reasons to be afraid of any bad wolves either...

 

So finally we get to see Fedor fighting in the cage. Not the UFC octagon, but none the less Brett Rogers seems to be a worthy opponent. Really pumped for this fight!!! Who you lot got on this one? Brett Rogers is huge with heavy hands but come on you can't bet against Fedor this guy is the best fighter in the world.
