I think PETA made a big mistake with that one & I for one hope it comes back to bite them. The read somewhere the majority of women in the U.S. wear about a size 18 jean size, so most of us (including me - I will admit it!) aren't skinny by far. And most women who would never have given PETA a passing glance will put PETA on their sh!t list now be they large, medium or skinny. You know the old saying "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." An example is the female reporter. Even though she was skinny, boy, she kept ripping into the PETA rep! lol.

BTW webster your comment was not cute. In fact it was pretty uncool. I would continue with my thoughts, but I will keep them to myself, as they are not nice.

Well, I'll tell the truth - I'm not any "skinny minnie" by far. Some folks are that way from just plain bad habits (over eating, poor eating, no exercise), but some others are that way through no faults of their own. Using myself as an example - I used to be about 125 lbs before I started having seizures. Not skinny, skinny, but not big either. But after I began having seizures I gained weight due to being home bound & once they figured out what was going on I gained another 45 more lbs just from meds alone (3 diff seizure meds & one hormone med). My neurologist wants me to lose (& I'd like to lose some too) but he said it would be very hard to do b/c the Depakote has slowed my metabolism so much. So I may just have to love me for me & accept the fact I'll never be skinny again & just have to watch out for $#%@* with harpoons. :rolleyes:

I'm going to put that link to the video on several German forums. Peta tries to get more known among German animal lovers, so I guess I'll lend them a hand in getting "known" :p

Besides, we have comedian named Dirk Bach over here who's supporting Peta AND who is overweight (although he is vegetarian). I wonder what he thinks about this campaign :rolleyes:

Right on BAO8. I'm going to forward this to all the folks I know of who are "large & in charge" (both men & women) in hope that any who are supporting PETA will change their mind (no one like to be called a "whale!") & those who ever thought of it won't do it! Less $$$ for PETA, the better.

They have seriously lost it now. My wife is a full figured woman and she doesn't take crap from anybody. I would love for some skinny a## PETA supporter to be standing on the street with a sign like that while she walks past....That would end up looking much like Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir 2, lol and who am I holding her back, hahahaha.

Don't those idiots know woman ARE MEANT to have fat on them! It's genetic for most women! I'm a thick woman, 140 pounds of muscle and curves in the right places. Seriously in most countries when a woman is thick it's a mark of beauty and ROYALTY! PETA can shove it up their @$$3$!! God I hate them soooo much!

IMO peta has done much worse then make fun of fat people. For example, comparing breakfast to the holocaust.
