agreed mostly... standing up with mir is like standing with anyone..hes only done well in one stand up bout...hes a ground guy..

coutoure is a wrestler..uses his power to do what brock does... both those fights were perfect for brock and crappy for his opponents...

now personally i cant stand brock...but outside of that hes great FOR THE SUPER HEAVY WEIGHT DEVISION !!!!

206-265??? thats just too drastic a weight class... it needs to be broken down better...

and i love fedor..i do hes the best...but hed get crushed... brock wouldnt let him take that massive swing that drops beasts...hed lay on him lol and punch him in the face....

not to take anything away from brock the guys a wrestler from hell...only lost three times in highschool... and not very many in college...

ps..he beat the crap out of cain velasques three times in wrestling...completely owned him..hands down cain had no chance...

the only guy i even care to see fight brock would be gaberale gonzoga....

they cut weight as fighters do all the time but the point is ..they dont stand a chance in hell against a man that big..
the hw division needs to be broken up into two parts.... shw and hw ... brock is just to big for even tallent to have a chance.... IMO of course...

i mean look at mirko filipovich lmfao the guys one of the top fighters in the world... (is 3 and 0 against the dude fedors about to fight) but put him in the ring with brock LMFAO id have a better chance haha

too big in my opinion but not his fault its a loop hole in the weight class... hes got to cut weight to make 265...fedor is like 233 ... lol i hope it never happens just so brock doesnt get to take advantage of a legend and make it work for him....

Here's my thing though...in one sense I agree that the classes should be split but in another I think his size would be an advantage to some if they used it. His size is an advantage but also a disadvantage.

You need a strategy, not just talent, in any fight..and especially for a guy that size.
What do we know? If you get on the ground with the guy, he's going to crush you..so do your best to stay off the ground with him.

A smaller guy should be quicker and more agile (and there are some pretty damn quick HW's)..that should be used to their advantage. If one could stay off the ground and wear him out for a few rounds or KO, I don't think it would be to hard. His stand up game has improved but it is by no means up to par with some of the HW's today, I guess I just think it's a cop out to say the dude is to big. IE: Tim Sylvia is 6'8 and usually fights around 255 pnds but no one ever says he's to big.

 

first and formost ...you lose points for running away from you opponent... speed isnt going to ware him out..hes only going to hurt you more when he does catch you lol then he can take a minuet break laying on you hammerfisting away haha till the reff stops it ..

tim sylvia is a punk haha plain and simple.. he wins with lucky shots from long limbs that gain tons of momentum.. the difference is this..

you can actully take tim sylvia down the the ground and do somthing with the guy..... and you can actully take a shot from the guy... a jab from brock would kill a normal man lol

theres not a hw in the ufc that could take him down no way... heck theres not one that would want to...

and as far as stand up...well thiago alves proves my point... you loose focus on your main game plan when you have to worry about defending a lightning quick take down at anytime.... and brock holds those cards he can take anyone down any time he wants (one of the best college wrestlers of our time) and on your feet hes not stopping cause son hes just not worried lol he doesnt care if you hit him he said it himself hes got a ball pein hammer for a head... and something deep inside me says to believe the man lol

i just dont see anyone anytime soon having a prayer this is only my opinion tho...heck maybe vera moves back up and uses his speed ....to get to the hospital after the fight....

i see what your saying tho...its hard for me to say it too...size is USUALLY trumped by speed and ability.... but not this time..brock is a freak.... too big..way too big....

 

Brock is big, yes..but there have been big guys before and it's not like he's on his game 24/7. If Anderson Silva was his size THEN I might agree that there was little chance of anyone beating him but brock has OBVIOUS weaknesses.

Mir lost to Vera, Sylvia beat Vera, Mir beat Lesnar, Lesnar beat Mir.
It's a cycle, who can handle the pressure and the hype and beat him at his own game.

 

I disagree that Lesnar would beat Fedor. If Fedor can beat Hong Man Choi who made Fedor look like a little boy standing next to him he surely would beat Lesnar. Fedors sambo and Judo is so crisp he would definitely submit Lesnar from the bottom. It would make for an exciting fight but Fedor is not a fighter you can easily close the distance with for a double or single leg. The second you do you get clocked by that crazy punching power of his. I am stoked to see him fight Josh Barnett though as I think that man will be as close as anyone will get to be able to beat Fedor.
