Back Again....

Thought I'd show off some up to date pictures of my ''foster'' Deeohgee. I had her as a foster when she was an adolecence and a few years later she was returned essentially because her adoptive home were idiots. :rolleyes: With out going off on a huge rant, she was the one that put an end to me being involved in rescue as I no longer feel it is in the best interest of the breed. Some realizations you just have to live through for them to be crystal clear. Anyhoo... she's a great dog. Wicked with kids. Tons of toy drive. Smart as a whip and a such a fun girl.

It's funny, Deeohgee was always one of our favorites and as soon as she was back, it was like she was never gone. It's the only place she's ever completely fit in.

 

She is cute. Yeah I know what you mean about rescues and bully breeds. Most of those folks don't know nuthin bout the breeds and aren't as careful as they should be when placing them :rolleyes:

Yep. I went through over 100 fosters but finally couldn't take it anymore. I loved fostering but I really can't get along with rescue folks lol. Only way I would work with a rescue again is if I started one myself

 

Ya... no doubt. I actually totally miss having a load of fosters coming and going. The house seems real quiet and kind of boring now. lol

We thought she'd be a good agility prospect! lol You could get her to go right down the middle of the tires and come back up without knocking them over! lol



When we were testing her for LawDogs, I put her ball up in the tree to see what she'd do. What a freakin' spazz. lol

 

Lol those last pic's were nice! She's gotta nice shape to her as a pup.

 

Ya... she did change quite a bit though, eh? Filled out alot. She actually had ACL surgery with the guy that adopted her. The only thing he did right, getting her the surgery, so it sort of put a damper on her working/sport prospects! lol I don't even like to run her on the treadmill or use the lazer pen in the yard with her as she runs so hard and spazzy, I'm always worried she'll break herself. lol We're aiming for lots of hand walking to get her nice and conditioned this spring/summer.

Shes looks great. I love seeing them growup, its always fun to see what the turn out like.

 

nice looking dog. Can you tell me more about those balls that they have? Indescructaball or whatever? Cost, where you get them , what they are made of etc etc

Sure! I have seen them sold under different names. Indestructaballs, boomer balls, etc.. I just asked my pet store to order one for me but I think the brand they have is even called something different. They are hard plastic, but hollow so you can fill it with water or sand to make it heavier or wobble. There's a little screw top on it. I'm not sure what I paid for mine. I've got the memory of a gold fish. lol Maybe thirty bucks Canadian.

Some dogs go absolutely OCD with them, like Deeohgee. lol We have an eGGe, too, but only one of my boarders really got into it.

They are definitley not indestructable though. My male has a VERY hard bite and he squished it and puctured it after grabbing it once, then all the dogs went to town on it once they had a way in! lol



Note to self, do not encourage Tank to get the ball. lol
