Getting A Pup.

Hi all I am interested in getting a pup in the near future, i would like some advice/direction from more experienced people. This pup will be a house dog, I know I want a heavy Eli dog. The thing is theyre are so much breeders out there and I am not able to travel to see the yards. Putting yourself in my shoes what would you do, i have the option of getting a pup off of bad asss x lilclassy , bad asss x sister sally , clemmon kojak x pj's lady or something from dred lok kennels, which way would u go? and why . Thanks stx

 

I wouldnt want a heavy eli dog as a house dog that is just me. I am a redboy fan. Good Luck though......

 

maybe i should rephrase that ,i should say more pet/yard dog as it wouldnt be in the house unsupervised anyway. thanks hemi........stx

i would stay away from heavy eli. i have heard there are a few manbiters out of that blood but that is just hear say i haven't seen them myself

 

That is what I was getting at. Especially those kennels cause they have such tightly bred dogs.

 

i HEARD neither of you fellas know what you're talking about! Those kennels have very well bred dogs and are both stand up gentleman. Don't slander folks and dogs you know nothing about!

 

like i said it was hear say and i never have seen one. This is from older people then me that have been around dogs for a very long time. So i take ther word for what it is worth to me not to you or anyone els.

 

DO WHAT! I said that they have tightly bred dog man can you read. No Slander here.All of those kennels I would get a dog from but not a house dog. Eli dogs are known to be man biters. Dog bred down from Eli makes some super fly dogs so i dont know what you are talking about.

 

I can read matter of fact and i can also speak off first hand knowledge unlike some fellas on the internet.

Im confused, thats the first ive heard Eli dogs being man biters. Wow!!!!!!None of the ones ive owned have been man biters.

 

No but i got a yard full of them,and none of them are man biters STXMAN
don't listen to people who are going on hear say.Eli dogs for the majority are not man biters.I cant speak for every eli dog out there but for the majority they are not.

 

if it were up to me id go with the pup off of kojak. what made you want to go with an eli dog anyways? i have heard of some being manbiters but it's not like it's a common trait with eli dogs in a whole. i have this little guy who is pretty tight and hasn't ever offered any type of aggression to a person.

My understanding is that heavy Eli dogs have a tendency to be too highstrung to make good housedogs.

Jeep dogs (at least some) I've heard are good house dogs and Jeep was half Eli. Perhaps that would be something to think about.

 

I have a male who is heavy Tabb(Jeep + Redboy) and he is a good house dog.

 

Hall's dogs what I saw could eat you alive true manbiters!

 

I had one Mayday/Tab(50/50)and she was a manbiter in my opinion that could happen in every lines!

 

what made me want to go with Eli dogs is that hey have alot of the qualities that i like in a dog, (drive/intensity/mouth/)they also have the history behind them that i love, they have always been my favorites, and i would like to do my part in helping preserving this bloodline....stxman
