btw, colbydogs i think it would please you and the rest of the board to know i've spoken with someone who does breed bully dogs and he assured me he's trying his best to get this breed classified as a breed of their own, in their own registry. he promotes his own bully shows and encourages the participants to register their dogs as bully breed not apbts. there are people out there trying to make the necessary and appropriate changes. it does take time and they are making some progress no matter how minimal it may seem right now.

 

no marks? not one? he must be the greatest grch ever. some of the blood is nice, and the dog is incredibly unscarred.

 

fwiw the bellon dogs are the real deal. there have been a handful of blue dogs of note throughout history.
the scottish Blue Pauls are thought to be in the foundations of some of these dogs.

not all dogs are game regardless of color, and yes-there blue dogs are beeing bred solely for color.

Of course someone like yourself would discredit a dog because it is blue . Get over it !!! If the dog is game and was proven game it's game know matter what color it is. Just like if a dog works it works if it's blue oh effin well it will just be a blue working dog. Most game dog fanciers will knock blue dogs down when ever they get the chance a lot of it comes from the old myths at how old dogger's saw blue dogs back then did that make them less game or did it make it right just because they said so? Hell No! they saw the color as fault therefore they culled those blue dogs out they never got a chance to prove themselves because of the ignorance of old timmer's hey they didn't do everything right no matter who they were. Let's just be logical for one second a color is a color it proves absolutely nothing in realtion to a dogs drive or gameness. You can breed the finest game dogs together and there is no gaurentee your going to have one pup in that litter that will go on to prove themselves game. Just as you can breed 2 true bulldogs no staff blood in the mix and be lucky if a blue dog pops out in the litter it happens not as often but it does happen it is by no means impossible to find a blue dog with no staff blood mixed in there or a true game blue dog. You don't have to like blue dogs but not all blue dogs are created equal and there are blue dogs being fought make no mistake about that. Fanciers hate to admit it but it's true. I don't judge a dog based on what color they are a good dog is where you find it. I am also not a dogfighter and would never fight my dogs so weather they are game or not is really not important to me. I will never find out and have no desire to. My only point in posting my dogs picture is to proove that not all blue dogs are 5,000 lbs extreme unhealthy slobs that sit around and just eat . You have blue dogs out there who are bred to standard who are working dogs and are just as capable as any other color dog out there. You don't have to agree with it but it is what it is. You can also look in many game dog pedigrees and going back far enough your sure to find staff blood in there somewhere. I am not one of those people who gets caught up in pedigree's and bloodlines. I don't get tunred on by a fancy pedigree they don't do shit for me. I want a dog who functions and has the heart to do what I need them to do and that serve a purpose in this home . That is all that matter's to me. I don't breed never will. I have recently taken interst in WP and conformation. And will continue to fight for the breed I love. All that other macho bullshit you can have it.

 

fine sadieblues i'll concede your point. after all, i've never seen a million dollars either. doesn't mean it doesn't exist. the difference in a million dollars and a blue bulldog? i'd love to have the million dollars. congrats on you finding dogs you love. they just aren't for me. just like bullies aren't for me. i go by what i've learned from the "old timers". i've known them for years and they've never steered me wrong. maybe they fall into myths, maybe they don't. to each his own.

 

Thanks I respect what you just said. Blue dogs are not for everyone people have the right to love and own what they find works for them. I am glad we could see eye to eye on that point

I really shouldn't even touch this one but I just can't help myself. First off please stop saying this is a site for game dogs NOTHING IS FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!! You want proof? (I Can't do it, I am already being monitored I'm sure, but someone post there dogs game title in front of its name or after the name as it would appear on peds-online and you'll see what I mean) This is a WORKING dog forum. Game refers to just that, the game! Which is strickly taboo here as far as I can see from edited post after edited post. (Unless the dog is dead as well as it's owner or it happened in a country where the game is legal, which I fully agree with this sites rules to protect what it is they are tring to accomplish, positive pitbull propaganda and you can't do that if your site gets shut down) Now I know all the mods will probally disagree with me and it wouldn't suprise me however I have already been warned several times about posting things refering to the game (Even if others do it and get away with it), Now I am not tring to bash the site in any way, shape or form as most are probally thinking ( I have learned to truly appreciate and respect this site alot, and look forward to reading everyones post on a daily basis) There is only one way to tell if a dogs is game and that kind of talk will get you banned from here (with good reason IT"S ILLEGAL, so, to keep telling someone that this site is dedicated to gamedogs is a total twist of the truth. Now a site for WORKING DOGS would be more appropriate don't you think?..... As for the dogs from the OP they look like hippos, too large to be on those short lil legs and could never do the job that they were bred to do, not my cup of tea however you feed them so your opinion is the only one that should matter to you........ JMHO

Ok. Here is my opinion on Am Bullies. Take it or leave it. They are bred for money. Why in the hell do you think they sell the damned dogs for thousands of dollars? Because some dumb ass went and made some frankenstien dog and people thought the damned thing looked cool and tough. I read every post in this thread and people are all ??? as to why Am Bullies are bred. They took good APBT blood and crossed it all up with everything but the neighbors cat making mongrels so they could act like they had some "designer breed" and capitolize on it. Makes me sick... Would you breed a cow and a chicken? No. So why breed an APBT with anything else than an APBT?! "F" it, The damage is done now. The effin dogs are everywhere and I have yet to meet an AmBully owner IN PERSON who knew their dog was an AmBully. They ALWAYS call them "Pit Bulls".:rolleyes: To each his own. Not for me. ^ Oh no doubt but it can be done in a polite manner. Argumentative conversation is good, but just as you feel someone is wrong in their way of thinking they feel the same way as you. This is by far the best forum for APBT's that I have found but there are rude people everywhere. Sometimes I feel that same about convo on here as I do when I talk to Pit bull haters, like talking to a wall.

 

Okay I have a few things to say.....
1.Now I am the person holding all the dogs and showing them now you cant be dissing on me the show I was in was a fun show.
2. We dont breed for color or looks we breed for structure and ability.The fawn male is a ball of energy we weight pull him every day and he loves it...
3.If any of you came to our house every dog would be wagging there tails and smiling.When we take some of our dogs to parks and stuff people bring their infants to see our dogs because they can tell they are friendly.
4.They are not pit bulls but we breed for the bully athletic dogs of medium heigth and lots of drive for pulling.

 

TTNK101, I own an APBT, but I am a huge fan of the American Bully. Your dogs are beautiful APBT or not, people have their own opinions, but at the end of the dday the only thing that matters is that YOU love your dogs and thats it. I personally think they are gorgeous and I have seen pure APBT's that aren't half as beautiful as your dogs. Some bullies are bred for the wrong reasons and ARE fat,ugly and have bad conformation. BUT so do some APBT's! every breed has their bad and good dogs, yours are some of the American bullies good dogs. So don't listen to others opinions and keep loving your dogs.

 

My two cents- Good job for the dog not looking like most bullies do especially the gottiline crap! that look like they need an oxegen mask like an nfl linebacker getting a fumble and running it back for the t.d. oxygen mask please. thank you and high five (myself) A. dog isn't blue, b. and is in condition for being over 75 lbs and under 18 inches at whithers(probably). I am sure they make great Pets. But breeding has turned them into a different animal than the apbt.
