Wildside Kennels Found Guilty

Wildside was forced to take a plea bargain today. Ed told me that he would do what was necessary to protect Donnie and he did. If he tried to fight it they were looking at 40 years in prison. If it wasn't for trying to protect Donnie he would have fought it until the end.
Ed received 8-10 months in state prison.
Donnie received 6 months intense probation followed by 24 months of regular probation.
The Wilkes county judge appears to be a bulldog lover and does not want any of them put down unless documentation can be shown that these dogs need to be destroyed.

What a friggen travesty..another innocent man going to jail for a crime he did not commit. :mad:

poor guy , that really sucks !!! They got what they wanted, its not about the jail time its about killing the dogs or having them all fixed so the blood line is no longer available , but their agenda was to have the dogs killed.

 

i hate to be that guy but- he did openly admit what to he did- and how he was stupid for buying into their setup because he needed the money- as "supplying dogs" is infact a crime in that state.

that being said he does deserve credit for being a standup guy and taking his licks like a man and doing the right thing now for his family and his dogs.
hopefully the dogs will be spared and get a fair shake

it really sucks that a good guy with good dogs got took down like that, but maybe we can use this as a learning experience. remember big brother is always watching and always listening. as for that p.o.s snitch well let's just hope the fleas of a thousand dogs take safe refuge in his underpants.

 

Im interested in seeing how this decision is made. I'd assume fixed and adopted out...

I know a few rescue groups have shown interest etc. We'll see...

I think it's ridiculous that a man has the possibility of more jail time for animal cruelty charges than 2nd degree murder or robbing a gas station.Hold up a gas station and get 10 years,put a dog in the [] or sell one for that purpose and kiss your butt goodbye.That's messed up.

 

I have not done much research but Ed looks like some one who loves his dogs and i did not see any battle wounds on angus ,the Dog was having a good time , what did Ed do wrong ?

 

talked reckless w/ people whom he did not know very well. (i.e instead of telling the guys to leave as he did not sell dogs w/ intenet to be used in illegal manners, he was in a bad way finacially and basically told these guys what they wanted to hear to close the deal on a couple dogs-that he could provide them w/ good match dogs)
