i am excited but upset to see this fight happen...ken is a legend and waaaaayyy past his prime...kens the man and done alot of good for the sport and i have mad respect for him so i dont want to see him get his arse beat by some wanna be mma fighter (now less wannabe but he has less experience than me)....that being said if ken is smart (which is definately questionable at times) he will destroy kimbo... kimbo has extremely bad conditioning which will help ken and also kimbo is horrific on the ground(improving but still terrible) ken could easily sub kimbo from nearly any position... but ken has a week chin and is an old man so it could go either way.

im gonna go with ken because hes a legend and i would like to see him go out on top come on ken... but i know some people who have trained with kimbo and they said he was a nice guy and he seems to be really working to become a top fighter.so i guess well see what happens

Im thinking along the same lines. Ken Shamrock is a legend, and IMO, didn't know when to say when against Tito Ortiz a while back. I hate to say gimmicks are us, but damn...I really hope that Shamrock can easily handle Mr. Slice b/c I'd hate to see him lose, but hee's fighting not me...

damn, thats not a good fight for ken cos as he said before fightin rich franklin if he wins everyone will say of course he did he was supposed to but if he loses he will never hear the end of it,great fight for kimbo tho nothing to lose,im definately goin with ken tho for sheer experience and skills kimbos got a punchers chance but i cant see him winning

At this point in Shamrock's career,I think Kimbo is to big,and hits to hard for him..10yrs ago I would have bet the house on Ken (in this fight),but his skills have diminished considerably, and as previously mentioned his chin is less than desierable..Kimbo is by no means a legitimate heavyweight contender, but Ken Shamrock?.I think the size difference would be to much of a hurdle for Ken..Maybe/hopefully Shamrock will show a glimmer of his old self and catch Kimbo in a leg lock, but I doubt it..

Kimbo v. Lesnar..I think Brock would manhandle him,and win via ground & pound..I also think Brock would dominate Congo as well..

If Kimbo is looking for respect and serious credentials, it's not going to come from fighting a 44 year old man. Unless of course, that 44 year old man is Randy Couture.

How very true. I could give a damn who wins. He should ease up talking shit about Chuck though. He's gonna end up biting off way more than he can chew.

I think Ken possibly beat him if he taps him. You know he's going to go for submission. He's certainly not going to try and stand with Kimbo. I don't think Kimbo's take down defenses ect. are the level of Ken's JJ. JMHO.

I hear you man, and I remember the days when Ken Shamrock (and Royce Gracie for that matter) would totally take a pounding and eventaully get that submission...I'm just not convinced that he can do it at 44 going uphill in weight against a puncher...as much as I'd hate to see Kimbo Slice when I assume he's destined to do so as long as he keeps fighting senior citizens.

if it does happen i say both of them have a heart attack in the 2nd round. watch some of kimbos fights he cant last long at all if it's not over in the first he acts like a tottal different man like he is dying or something no stamina (sp)

Guys, this thing is called "Building a Business". Right now fair and even fights is not going to bring masses to watch. Recognizable names and freak fights will bring money into the young organization. This is the normal way of developing a fan base and money.

If the Organization wanted a true match for Kimbo, they would have chosen "Something Rogers". This man would have almost certainly beaten Mr. Slice to the punch. Yet, they are seeking to attract the new MMA fan and those who still remember Ken as the "All-Star" MMA guy who is in the UFC Hall of Fame. The guy who fought and won grudge matches in the States and abroad.

For EliteXC, right now is not the time for competitive matches. It is time for sensationalism! I would not be at all surprised if EliteXC goes outside the country to show fights between guys of uneven weights..."A la PRIDE".

Who will win? Ken has lost most of his last fights....In his last fight, Ken was KOed by a nobody.......Mr. Shamrock appears ready to make Kimbo Slice look better than ever! lmao. Business is business.

I agree. In fact, anything Kimbo does right now is going to pull ratings. He's being aired on prime time network television for Gods sake. What other MMA fighter can you say has done that? I just can't wait until someone takes the rug out from underneath him. It would be one thing if he was a humble man..I would have more respect for him then. He is a boxer with p-nuts for lungs and it's only a matter of time. Let them all make their millions before everyone finds out he's a fluke. Lets see Mr Kimbo step in the cage with Brock Lesnar. I bet he'd jump the wall!
