Flip out for God

There is a church located in Pittsburg Texas who is starting a childrens ministry based on a dog named Flip. The kids plan outings three times a year to cancer centers, nursing homes, burn centers, in hopes that their American Pitbull Terrier Flip Threw therapy and the word of God will help make these peoples day. The kids have planned a hole skit around the fact that Pitbull's are misunderstood. Some of their play consists of the fact that when Jesus first came forward that people were scared of him because he was different, and they didn't understand him. which ended up with him crusified on the cross. I know Flip and Jesus are not comparable but because of the fact that Flip is also misunderstood and people are scared of him because they don't understand helps the kids to be more open minded and compashionate to people and things that are differnt.
It is amazing to think that one American Pitbull Terrier named Flip is helping not only to spread the word of God but help the next generation to not judge this breed because of ignorance. So if you are ever in Pittsburg Texas come on down to the church where pitbull's are welcome and lets all FLIP OUT FOR GOD togeather..

Well congrats!! on a dog that is recieving some positive and doin some good. It be nice to get some pics up of FLIP and the kids. I know this board would become even better. How is FLIP bred? I bet this was an eye opener amongst the church.

 

Flip is one of the purest bred nigerino's I have ever seen. I started bringing him to the nursing home when he was about two, he is now four, to see a lady that I used to take care of and she just loved him. We are actually having some pictures done at the church in the morning, and I will put them in the gallery. The church did cringe when I told them what Flip's breed was but when I let the kids explain to the adults that Flip was just a missunderstood pup, and they got to meet him, now everyone loves him. I am having a great time doing this mission, and I have changed some pretty stuborn peoples minds about our Breed....

I think it is great that you & your dog are helping people the way you are! The APBT needs more postive light like this shed on it. I wish people in my home town would or could be more understanding of the breed.Thanks for what you are doing to help people see them for what they really are.

 

Thank you for your kind words.. I am trying to do all I can because I hate to take my dogs into town and be told what a bad mother I am because I have pitbulls around my children. I have got many apolagies. Flip is an absolute wonderful animal, he is the one that made all this possible.. He loves kids, and poeple and this year we are going around the school districts to teach kids about animal saftey. I figure if I can make my hole town love my dogs then they are less likely to try and put a ban on them.

I don't believe in God or the Christian viewpoints (no gay marriage,etc) but this is good, I'm glad that yall are showing that APBTs arent monsters. Hopefully it will spread across the nation.

I think my uncle was thinking about moving there so maybe 1 day I'll see him in action.
