I see so your saying that the best weight pull dog in the world is the APBT?

Anyone else agree with this statement?

I have only been in weight pull for 1 year, but, from what I see (UKC and APA) weightpull events that I have attended in Michigan, the American Bulldog does the best. Most of the American Bulldogs I come in contact with can pull more weight (weight and percentage) than the APBT.

This is from what I have seen, in person. Maybe it's just Michigan or just my area or hell, what events I have been at, but the APBT is #2.

I am a NOVICE though, so, I may not know much:)

I can't really say. The only weight pulls I've been to have been APBT only...

With all due respect, if you had an answer to your own question from the beginning, why ask a bunch of knowledgable people their opinions on a forum? Then when they give you their opinions and they don't agree, why get angry?
You've gotta calm down and read the posts and get to know people slowly.

Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes are bred to pull light to moderate loads for middle to long distances in cold weather.

Only relatively recently have we seen dogs (Pits, Am Bulls, etc) bred for COMPETITIVE weight pulling -- where extremely heavy loads are pulled for very short distances. Completely different from what Huskies and Mals were/are bred for.

Not saying there aren't some great pulling Huskies out there -- I've seen many excel on snow where they do seem to have a knack for handling that surface (but many Pits and others do well too).
