First, to answer your question of what do you get? EVERYTHING! :D Actaully, you get access to all forums with lots of additional useful information, will have free posting when the pedigree center is finished, & all kinds of extras like creating your own avator. There is more, but I'm kinda tired right now, so thinking is hard. Oh yeah, & it only cost $25 a year. Great price.

As for BSL in Italy (I'm trying to find the list), this country has banned 92 breeds!!!! Unreal.

Just wanted to let you guys know that though there are no restrictions to having a pitbull in Belgium, every commune/city has it's own laws and regulations pertaining to dogs. For example, I live in the commune of Mons here in Belgium and there are no restrictiond on what type of dog you can have, but less than 5 miles away in Soignies you are not allowed to own a pit bull and live there.

Germany has not banned the apbt but import of them, there are still parts of germany where its allowed too breed the apbt, but they will not be able to get new blood legally ofcourse

Though they are not banned, the authorities there always give me a hassle when I go to Germany with Azul. They always take me aside and question me about how I got him, where, and what I'm doing with him there and the whole nine yards. It's pretty phuckin lame. That's why I had to fork over a pretty penny to get Azul his own EU passport. I find it funny that my dog has a passport, yet most of my friends back in the states don't. :D I find it weird that they are so fearful about apbt but hey; we all know that all GSDs are known for not attacking people.

Sorry for this super late response. I usually go down through Luxambourg and sometimes up near Aachen. I too never have trouble on the borders, since they usually never have a "check." The problems are always in the cities when I'm walking with my dog.

  13. Its not allowed to breed cat. 1 dogs: APBT, AMSTAFF, STAFFORD, and ENGLISH BULLTERRIER. I think nowhere in the whole world are as stupid laws then in Germany. They try to destroy this dogs complete...if they had the chance they would destroy the whole genpool. The funny thing about that is that nearly all vets try do defend this kind of dogs...they know how good they are^^

    some from Italy:
    and found this:
    Dangerous Dogs

It is a requirement in Italy for dogs which are classified as "naturally aggressive breeds" to be kept on a lead in public areas and to wear a muzzle. Dangerous dogs must also be covered by Third party insurance.

Dogs included in this classification are:

    • Pit Bull
    • Rottweiler
    • German Shepherd
    • Bull Mastiff
    • Doberman
    • St Bernard
    • Newfoundland
People under 18 or anyone with a criminal record may not own a dangerous breed.

I have looked into buying land in Mexico. The wall I have come up against is that they don't want or will not deed the land in any one but a Mexicans name. I sure as hell don't want to buy land and have it in someone elses name. But I would like to buy a ranch there and go there during the winters. Or at least in 1995 when I was there the governing office wouldn't let me put a deed in my name at that time. So I didn't buy. But damn it was a good price pissed me off big time. Hell I just want to spend winters there. A keeper can have it most of the year. Seems like they would be glad to collect some taxation money off me or something. Nope. Unless there is something I missed but I believe I understood every word said to me. Maybe different states down there are not that way but Jalisco was. I was driving down the west side of the country to go visit a family that I befriended in El Salvadore and found a place for sale there I thought it would be the perfect retirement spot for me. It was quiet and just a few farmers around the town I was in that day. Laid back and calm. Perfect for an old combat vet to chill. Hell I left there sort of pissed and disheartened. Seems like they would want some one like me there. Oh well. Maybe one day I will find a place down in Belize or some thing.

Add to your list New Zealand and Australia.

New Zealand. Have banned the importation of several breeds: American Pit Bull Terriers, Brazilian Filas, Dogo Argentinos and Japanese Tosas. I understand existing dogs must be de-sexed, though I don't know for sure.

Australia. I received this e-mail a month or two back from somebody there. I don't think they'd mind me posting it on the forum:

Briefly the Queensland Government restricted not banned in 2001 and this applies to both pure and crosses. This means you may have one but must comply with certain requirements including desexing, muzzling in public etc. Local Councils however are able to ban and many have. Brisbane banned in 1996.
Late last year Victoria banned new registrations (as of Nov 2, 2005) but this applies to purebreds only. Existing dogs have to be desexed etc. Late last year NSW banned new registrations of both pure and crosses. However if a dog is identified as a cross and passes a temperament test it may be registered (and it is not considered a restricted breed) . At the moment there are no restrictions in ACT, NT or Tasmania. You may also still register in WA but this probably won't be for long. Victoria also intends to add cross breeds. We are trying to prevent this but it is like hitting our head againsta brick wall.

The Australian Government have a prohibition on the importation of the following breeds :
