Hey Guys...I've been lurking on this forum for quite sometime just trying to get my knowledge up on my dog... Anyways.... I've been reading about the upcoming show in NJ Tri State Area on April 12, 13...It seems a good amount of people from this site are attending and I am looking forward to attending the show with my wife and kids.. I do have some questions though... If my bully Kenai is not competing in any events, can i still bring him? If I can, do you think its a good idea? What time do these events usually start and whats a good time to get there? I live about an hour and a half away so I'm not too far.

I would appreciate anyones input on this. This is the first time ever going to an event like this and I just thought I'd ask. Thanks ...

Yes, there will be quite a few members from this site attending the show. My advice would be not to bring the dog...this way it will allow you and your family to have better time. I know the clubs in general are starting to crack down on dog walking around, competing or not. If you decide to bring him...try the fun categories. Regardless, of your decision...a crate is a must. Hope to see you there. Closer to the show date, i plan on starting a thread pertaining to the members who will be attending. This will allow us a chance to formerly introduce ourselves to other fellow gamedog members.

A good time to get there would be around 11, if you only plan on watching the events. 2-3hrs earlier if you plan on entering any classes.

If your not showing your dog its best not to bring him. The club members will be walking around asking everyone who is not showing to have their dog in a crate and your not allowed to lock them in your car. So I think if you want to have a good time watching the show and weight pull, dont bring your dog.

  4. yep, i agree. That was exactly what i thought my first time in a show. I brought my senior dog and was unable to pet as many dogs as i wanted. Unfortunately for my petting endeavors, i have an obligation to show my dogs. Therefore, i will not be able to pet as many dogs as i will want. Yet, i will do my best to pet my new buddy Angus....:D

Had a blast. Boi Boi, 215pitts & wife, Triple S, JayStreets, and Scratchin Dog & friends thanks for all the support. You guys kept her tail wagging the whole time. It was nice to put a face on so many screen names. Game-Dog was def. in the house.

JayStreet's Spike cleaned up. Several ribbons in the fun classes, Judges Choice on both days, took his class both days, and the big one BIS on both days. Thats just so sick.:) Well deserved, this kid put in his time. To those who did not make it, you gotta see this dog in person.

Our Liberty also did good. She got several ribbons in the fun classes, took her class on both days, heavy as shit Judges Choice Trophy, and a BOO Trophy. It was so cool that Game-Dog was in the ring sunday holding both the big trophies. Could not write up a better ending. Boi Boi you made it just in time buddy. LOL

Triple S you the man, not many 12yr olds would do what you did. Great job, and now your part of their club....heck they even awarded you with a plaque:D. Love ya kid.

Looking forward to teaming up with you guys again at the Virginia Show. 215 can not wait to see the dogs. Darn Boi Boi why your pup gotta be so young.:(

I also want to Congratulate ShadyRidgeKennel for all her success at the show. You did a great job with you dogs. Brad B really liked your bitch.

    Pics coming soon......
