Its sad that after 8 months you dont know your dog, hes a puppy and if he crys all the time there should be a reason and not because hes a "baby", try to find out the reason of this problem and get on work with it.

If you dont know the reasons, try to be more specific and maybe we could help you out, 60lb 8 months old APBT or "pit bull" is still a baby, depending on the dog he can be more mature or not but being this breed doesnt mean anything on his mature progression... thats more on the individual.

Ok. First off, Nolan, how old are you and are you from America? Not trying to be a dick, Im just asking...Seriously. Anyway, there are LOTS of dogs like that. Ive seen them a good way into adulthood and still whining just because you wont pet em or let em jump on you. That is extremely annoying and Im not quite sure how to fix it other than tell them to hush in a stern voice. That usually works for about 2 seconds. Good luck buddy!

well this is just my pov ... some may not agree..

first things first... WALKS ARE FOR REGULAR DOGS.. bull dogs need EXCERSISE

and walking doesnt constitute excersise... esp at 8 months old run that dog till hes begging to go home and sleep it off ...

i would say (based on your poor explanation of whats going on) that your dog just needs more dog on owner time and more excersise, take him for rides put his ass on a tight scedual and most of all WORK HIS ASS OFF. i cant stress this enough you cant get a bulldog just to be able to say "hey look at me ive got a pit bull" you need to invest time and energy in to your dog ....

your dog is probobly crying all the time trying to say "hey dude when are we gunna leave the house for more than 30 minuets at a time for a weak ass walk"

picture your self in your dogs shoes....youd probly be crying too all that drive, determanation, energy and nothing to sink it in to... thats like prison dogs are just like humans in that they need to see the outside of the walls too they sit and wait all day while your at work then you get home and take him for a walk?? thats weak bro...

and as for your girlfriend... tell her to find a back bone and stop asking the dog to do shit and start TELLING HIM HE NEEDS TO DO WHAT EVER SHE SAYS RIGHT NOW... theres a huge difference between a person that askes a dog for something and a person who TELLS the dog what to do.... if you can pound that into her mind the dog will start listning to her as well....

and if your dog only listens to you "part time" (when ever he wants in other words) then you my freind are doing something seriously wrong...
perhaps you should take the above advice...

agreed this dog needs more excersice.what i would recomend is take the dog to the vet get him a good going over.if everything checks out good medically then go and invest in a good pair of walking shoes.walk him about 2 hours out and back let him sleep and you will see a big diffrence.he is still young so don't over work him but tire him out by a good long walk or a nice long run they love it and it won't hurt him a bit.just no spring pole or flirt pole work done heavily till he is around at least a year year and a half old.but i think he just is wanting more time outside and some time with you.

Gamebreddj i am a 26 year old male in the us. and yes that is def what it is he just whines.thanx

clutch billups yes i agree that why i thought a very long walk would walk i guess it aint anyway. any suggestion live in a apt no backyard do not like dog parks. i guess i can give im a lil more time but with work and my son it is hard. plus the fact that he cant just chill in a room and relax but that comes from lack of work.

that is excatly what i tell herbut he opens his mouth and that scares her right now i got her on a two week regiment were i will not help her with the dog she has to command him, feed him and walk him. iu think she needs to build a relastion ship with him.

what ii mean buy sometimes is like if he in the bedroom and i tell him out sometime he will just leave other times he will play the come and get me game. more more suggestions like i said i know a fair amount about the breed always wanna know more this id my third apbt i love the breed and i am a responible owner just dont have all the answers thank you

look some pit bulls mellow out at two years of age..some do not..some are vocal like to and try to talk..and talk means bark, whine, and whistle..i have a walled in five acres..and my dog will still at age three whine to go outside of the yard..just because he knows there are dogs outside..i cant imagine trying to own a pitbull and live in an apartment..it must be hard..i hate to say it but my opinion..if i were you put pitbulls on hold..your still young and maybe down the line you may move and have a better place to own one..if this is your third pitbull ..you had to get rid of the other two..right?want a dog get a small one like a jack russell terrier or a patterdale...about as close to an apartment size pitbull you can get...just my opinion..not trying to be an ass ..just trying to give some honest advise.

well i only got rid of the first because jada the older one had very high prey drive and with a new born baby i didnt want to risk anything. my second one which i saved and only had for a week i gave to a friend when his pup got stolen they both are in good homes. but yes it is a lil hard in a apt. (while it is a two family house) my buddy is actully buying it and is going to fence in the yard which should be a huge help. taking him to the vet today to make sure he is a ok. and gonna spend more time with him and more work for him. thanx

you guess?...you better just do it...because if you don't, your dog might wind up becoming agressive and frustrated.

I agree with Old Timer and Clutch

You know what I total under stand what your saying about the dog not listing. My dog only listens to me. And I’m not even intimidating. I am only 4’11 and weigh less then 100 pounds but when I tell that dog to do something he does it. My husband on the other hand is a lot bigger and scarier; you would think the dog would list to him. He is very firm when he speaks But when he tries to tell the dog to do something the dog growls at him. (Not in a mean way, just saying I don’t have too) So I have to tell the dog to do it.

dogs don't see in size when it comes to respect.they go by who makes them mind from the get go.regardless of size.i have seen children get better results than some adults and it is for the simple fact that they can handle a dog better.
