I fed it this past winter. It is a lower quality food that wont let your dog reach its peak potential due to the low grade ingredients. I wont ever feed it again. If I was gonna feed diamond, Id feed the Diamond Naturals. The Naturals is just a few $$ more than the Hi-energy.

I`ve been feeding the Hi-Energy for about a year.I was feeding the proformance but the Hi-Energy was less $ and I`ve not seen any difference in them.Checkem out in my gallery.

I agree with you on the Hi-Energy , not a bad food for winter due to it's high fat content but the ingredients are sub par . My dogs crap like geese on it and their coats are dull . Switched to the Naturals when the Diamond scare hit awhile back and am very pleased with the overall improvement in the dogs . The biggest improvement i saw was with whelping / lactating bitches . Very little fall off in body fat /muscle condition and they rebound considerably better coming off pups vs the Hi-Energy . After the first litter on Hi-Energy it was glaringly apparent to supplement or switch foods .

Diamond Hi-Energy killed 2 of my dogs. Won't ever feed it again. I'd feed my dogs FMV before I fed Hi-Energy again.

Mine was new and improved kind as well. Its not a terrible food, its just not up to my standards anymore. I say anymore because the more I learn the higher my standards become.

take the time and do some reading on this site, there are plenty of better quality feeds out there and u end up saving money because u feed less because of the amount of nutrients

I use it and I'm satisfied with it. But the thing to remember is that all dogs respond differently to the different brands of food out there. I'm gonna buy a different kind of food for two of my dogs because they are starting to lose too much weight on this brand but other than that, it's fine by me. To each his own.....just try a few different brands for a couple of months at a time until you find what works for your dog/dogs.

my dogs do fine on it even a couple that is hard to keep weight on do good and gain. coats look nice and shiny none of my dogs have food allergies thou. i wouldnt keep one yet feed one. i feel like if a dog cant eat certain shit he is genetically inferior and probably has a week immune system and will never reproduce for me.

if you have really active dogs I think you would be fine..but thier is alot of pretein in that stuff for just sittin on the chain.Man I got a jack russell thats a extreme hard keeper and a jack is suppose to have a lil bit of a gut on them even when working..Since I put him on regular Diamond is a lil less protein then the performance. But he hasnt slowed down a lick and still got a gut on him like he suppose to have.I mean this dam dog dont have a stop button it doesnt matter to him if its 20 degrees or 102 nonstop. He still will flop down in his waterbucket to kool off on 50 degree day thats how much he runs..Hardest one out of anything I ever had to keep weight on.But he got it now.
