I used to keep Jada in the house, but she got too big started jumping on the kitchen table, and running full speed through the house and all that was alright with me. But then she started eating my wife's plants....and wifey mad me put her outside.

I would think they owner would rather you keep them outside that in the house unless you gave a crazy deposit, cause my pit tore up sh*t in the house.

  5. I put my pits on a chain if they are to wild for the kennels.

I keep him loose in my fenced yard but lately he has been finding all sorts of ways to get outside. so sorry for my neighbours cats. Planning to have him on a cable setup.

Yeah like Bdk said we use chain for adult dogs, it is just the safest way to go although I wouldn't say the pen is to safe for one of our pups he is a climber and is just about to the top. LOL

  13. Wow, what about using a simple fence?? I've never, ever had to chain a dog or had a dog that roamed. I have four fenced acres only because I am an animal control employee and I must keep up appearances...and to keep roamers and wildlife OUT. Also, I understand that many, many people are afraid of pits. I have the opposite problem; I can't get away from my dogs...even to use the bathroom!!! AND one of my pits is congenitally deaf, yet can go on day long hikes in unfamiliar territory and never loose sight of me. Guess I'm a more than a little puzzled that fencing wasn't a choice. 14. im sure everyone has a fence, but if the dog wants to get out bad enough, he will find a way out of that fence, thats why a lot of us use chains

This isn't meant to offend. As an Animal Control Officer, I would think you would kind of be a little leary of fenced pitbulls. I'm sure you have seen how a pit at large can behave around other strange dogs. These dogs can and will leap a six foot fence to get where they wish to be. If they can't go over they'll go under or through or find a way around. It is for this reason and out of responsibility to others that I chain most of my dogs, unless let out for supervised play/ exercise.

They'd be on a chain if i could keep them outside, but instead they have their own bedrooms....lol

  19. i keep my in the house and in a kennel a chain is a bad thing when they are in weight pull

  20. My girls are house dogs they have a dog door so they can potty( wich they are house trained) My yard is fenced so they roam sorta free. I do not belive in chains. They are 6 months so by next year they will have covered kennal so they don't escape when i'm gone.
