Many pups are sold before birth. Just because they are putting the add up when they are 3 weeks old doesn't mean they are selling them at that age. I'm not standing up for the BYB but I think you just over reacted about the add. The pups are three weeks old probably four or five right now.

if they are sending them home at 3 weeks yes that isn't good. but often people get with me long before I am even thinking about breeding putting a depo down or even in full. I don't like to do that as I like to have something to give other than a contract but that is their call. I just don't like pressure. I look at those adds just to see what they are chargeing. I try to take note of that so I can have that knowledge not that it matters much but it is there. Some times I call just to ask questions and see if they have a clue of what they are doing. I can tell you this no dog leaves me untill at least 8weeks. And then only of I am content with who wants the pup. Very few ever leave me before they are trained. But I make exceptions for things like the boar hog hunting and such that I am not equiped yet to handle and train for yet. I am bad pumped about learning it though. I had a blast in south Texas with BamaBoy. That is some serious fun. No guns just dogs and a knife. That is the shit. What ever you do if you want a pup let some one that breeds them right provide you one. I don't think you will find one in the sunday paper but you may. I have not been fully impressed with those yet. I am often dissapointed when I get out to actually look at the pups. one of the I feel sorry for them type of situations. One or two have been really good well maybe three. But that is about it. so it is possible just not likly. You know the deal. If I did anything I would call them and try to see what is really up with that and see if you can get a chance to teach them some stuff first.

Any way how is the little MR Biggs doing? I am sure proud of how you are doing things. I wan't you to know that.

I'm guessing they are selling them now, but waiting until they are older to ship them out. If they are shipping them at 3 weeks, then in many areas that is illegal and for damn good reason. I don't know if I would report it. I would e-mail them and inquire about it and give your oppinion, maybe supported by some facts as to why. You can be assured that if these pups are going out this early they will have some angry customers when pups start dying or having extreme social problems. Pretty much, if they really are that ignorant, they are digging their own grave... at the pup's expense of course... but that's just how our society works. It's your decision to report anything you feel is cruel, that is all up to you.

  10. i'm guessing they just have them posted but would wait until they are old enough to take away from the mother, but you never know.

well theres a saying "kill a snitch" so don't , any ways it's eather a pre sale or there people who sell them pre mature. Thats how i adopted my lil pup she was barly going to be 1 month.

Talk to them before jumping to conclusions I'd say, if they really are selling dogs off the tit at 3 weeks old....take the matter into your own hands. Never get hs or any other authorities involved in our breed, snitches get stitches, so handle your own!

Ya, a baseball bat works better than hs and the law. Quick, silent and is an effective means of correction

i think selling pups at 3 weeks is pretty wrong...i think they're not old enough to leave their mom..i think if they are going to be sold:mad: they should be sold at atleast 6 weeks.

  15. i think if it will put your mind at ease just call em up and ask em are you selling them now or are you taking deposits.either way it really aint none of mine or your buisness we both know it is wrong if they are selling them at that age,but in the end they are just gonna do what they are gonna do anyways regardless of what anyone says.so what i would do is just find out to set my own mind at ease then just go on with life.remember if there is one thing in life no one likes it is people who stick their nose in other peoples buisness and cause problems.thats how BSL come about.from the looks of the pictures the puppies look happy and healthy so i doubt they are letting them go at this age but call and see.keep us updated.

I'd say mind your business. They may be getting buyers in line at 3 wks but letting em go at 6-8 wks.

Nah at that price its byb no waiting, but just think about the breed, you call some one we will all know it, i can see the head line."Future Dog Fighters sold for $200 at 3 weeks old".

just another reason for them to ban the breed. Or if not that more bad press, and we all know we don't need that.

Some of you guys don't seem to "get it". One of the main reasons this breed is under such pressue and is so widely hated is scumbags who do things like sell pups at 3 weeks old. The pups never learn bite inhibition, grow up and bite someone. "Mind your own bussiness". Yep, NEVER object to unethical behavior, thats served the breed well, hasn't it?Is everyone on here so paranoid that they've lost ALL ideas of right or wrong other than "don't snitch" and "mind your own bussiness". I'd think I was hearing from crack dealers rather than dog lovers if I didn't know better.

I'd suggest as someone else did, CALL the people and find out. If they are letting the pups go at 3 weeks there are some things you can do, first let them know why pups need to stay with mom longer. Second, offer to help buy a bag of dog food, if you can afford it. But be careful, there are people who will take the bag of food and then still sell off the pups at 3 weeks and just laugh at you for being a sucker. If you call the SPCA, they might well just euth the pups and it might well make the paper so thats a bad idea as well. One way you might deal with is to report it to whoever controls the AD that you saw so the AD gets pulled and they have a harder time with their unethical peddling.

In the parrot business we buy eggs the minute they are laid, but of course don't pysically purchase them yet. They are advertised then too- and deposits are taken. Only skeezes sell them before they are fully weaned, though, same as with dogs. I wouldn't say anything though- for a number of reasons, but mainly because we don't know the whole picture.
