So just for fun and of course just referring to historical info., how many match wins would it have taken for a dog to receive the title Champion and how many for Grand Champion. Also i was wondering is there anything higher than GR. Ch.?

Ch=3. Gr ch=5 with no loses. If a dog looses his 6th time out, he is no longer a gr ch.

A CH could have a loss and still retain the title.

Ace was just a phenomenal animal. Win count had nothing to do with it. It wasn't a title.

Unfortunately there were alot of dogs that won 5 and still weren't regonized as a Gr.CH. I don't know if it was a little bit of Jack Kelly politics or what. That's what I would call it. Definitely some favortism going on with the SDJ at the time.
