  1. I have recently restarted my yard.

Here is what I have in it so far......

one female black, O Stevens bloodline

    one female buckskin, Jeep/redboy/jocko/yellow/honeybunch

one female brindle, 1/4 nigerino 3/4 bolio

I am going to add two males (pups), can someone give me some suggestions on what to have in the yard to mix with these bitches???

The best advice I could give is to be very selective in the dogs you acquire. You want to be able to control your genetic variables. Start with truly clean pedigrees in your dogs and NOT just a mélange of unrelated bloodline, that you know nothing about, that is tossed together in a haphazard fashion. A truly clean ped is limited on the number of different bloodline in it, the greater the number the harder it is to control (genetic variable).

You can add all the famous names of breeders and dogs you want in a dogs pedigree and all you will most likely end up with is a scatter bred piece of sh!t. Go with proven high percentage dog and you will start your yard off in the right direction.

The three most common breeding combinations are:

    The ¾, ¼ breedings

    The 50-50 cross-can be pure 50-50% or a ¾, ¼ to a ¾, ¼ or 50-50 over 50-50

And the ¾, ¼ on top with a 50-50% on bottom or visa versa.

You’ll find that most of your good producers are one of the above three genetic cross or a combination of these three. Gary Hammonds said it best “Before you back up that b!itch to old Butch answer the question…WHY?

Jeep/Redboy/Jocko/Yellow/Honeybunch??? Jeep came from Honeybuch and Yellow came from Redboy/Jocko. So you have a Jeep/Redboy/Jocko dog. A Bandit dog would mix well with the Jeep/Redboy/Jocko dog and with the Nigerino/Bolio stuff so thats what I would be looking for.

  4. Well that is what I meant on the bloodlines, sorry. now where would a person find a bandit dog near indiana...

If you really like these females and want to build your yard aroung them I would suggest doing some research and breeding to a proven stud. If you add two male pups they may be the correct bloodline you are after but in 2 years if they don't turn out to be worth breeding you have waisted some time. If you can find a proven stud to go with the bloodlines you have chosen I think you will have a better start on your yard.
