What made you choose the line of dogs you chose to breed/feed?

I started with ofrn dogs just because I liked there history and the fact thay are more a strain than a family. I found them to be well rounded bulldogs. Thay had most of what I was looking for in a bulldog but not everything. Like all lines the ofrn dogs have there own falts. So I set out to find something that will fill in the gaps so to speek and found the Eli/Boze family of dogs.

i feed primarily bolio/redboy dogs. the bolio strain i like most is down from patricks rick rude/toothless jack lines, crossed with the Mims redboy blood.
this line of patricks dogs are extremely powerfully built in the rear, and they are pound for pound as strong as i have seen. then crossed to the intensity of the mims redboy dogs. the brains of the bolio dogs with the strength and push, and the constant pressure/intensity of the redboy dogs. it has worked well for me...s.

I figured that Marty....lol... Big game, my uncle ran some RBJ before he went to prison. I have 7 dogs down from the dogs he bred and a couple more that was given to me... I don't think that my aunt and cousin who I got my dogs from have a good eye for breedin. I'm not satisfied with 5 out of the first 7,so they are gonna be culled and the other 2 will be in the house... I'm gonna start from scratch... I've owned the dogs my uncle bred all my life and I just got serious into the dogs 4 years ago...

Seeing the Hollingsworth dogs on the Wildside yard. I was so impressed with them and Hollingsworth's Bull in particular that I knew they were the only dogs for me.

Isn't wildside kennels the one albany lou is associated with? I have watched alot of his videos and I have never seen a dog half as nice as angus.

    Thanks. :)
Yes Lou is friends with Wildside. Wildside made limited breedings with the Hollingsworth dogs before he sold them all off. I only know of one living Wildside dog that has some Hollingsworth blood in her. So the dogs in the videos are not related to Angus at all (he is 50% Hollingsworth).

I am still a work in progress. Probably not one you would be interested in reading my reply even. But I figured, what the hell! I have more or less petbulls first. I started out with Ofrn dogs with some Castillo in there. Had no idea what I wanted to do with them. Rescued my first rednose but couldn't get in touch with the former owners again for papers or even a clue to his bloodline, so we neutered him. He may not even have papers but is by far the most obedient dog we have. Started out with the idea of breeding and making my money back on the initial investment. This has never happened. Too many good bulldogs out there dying for no good reason for me to go and breed something I am not sure deserves to breathe.
Found this site and got a lot more educated. I show Ukc and want to eventually weightpull, and have 4 apbt therapy dogs. Have learned enough for now about bloodlines to know that I probably couldn't handle a true gamedog. We have another rescue that we found that seems to fit the gamedog type but I think he is a little touched in the head. I know some on this board would have culled the dogs they got and figured they didn't want to promote. But I worked at a vet clinic for 10 years and saw enough culling or sorts to last me a lifetime. I prefer to spay or neuter, or just never breed them and keep them. To me they each have a quality I can admire. Oh yeah, my gamey rescue slowly chews his way out of any crate I put him in. Seems to be a much more high energy dog.
Plus I am finally headed the way I think I want to go as far as correct size in my dogs. My best female is 43 lbs. The final 2 additions being dogs out of washington state.

I've had dogs all my life, even before I was born my mom got me a dog. It wasn't untill I was in the 4th grade when I laid my eyes upon my first bulldog named Osirus. Osirus was owned by a guy in my neighbor hood that took alot of kids off the streets and gave them something better to do than get in trouble. Of all the kids I was the one always trying to walk and feed and just look at Osirus. Osirus was said to have been an Am Staff, back then I didn't know the difference, but today I look back and can say I've never seen an am staff like that again. The dog was black with a white patch on his chest and was as strong as a Ox. The guy ended up moving and never being heard of again, but before he left he gave me my first Stratton book. Needless to say, I still have the book till today and have read it from front to back about eight whole times. I wanted a dog just like Osirus, and was attracted to black bulldogs.

i had a couple of Bandogs, and run of the mill ( so to speak) bulldogs before my first gamedog.
it was this dog that got me hooked on the gamedogs...
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=297916

from there that friend got me hooked up w/ a good man who taught me alot about real bulldogs...
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=302785

was the first, then came this female...
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=301280

and once i had shown i was not some punk kid, i got this very special female...
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=301576

there was something about the colby/heinzl X boyles/bolio/hank dogs that really got me, and that is the cornerstone of what im rebuilding on today...

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=301858

ultimately i have a male colby/heinzl dog coming , and a female boyles/bolio/hank. and also taking some straws off an old dog ( 11now) to keep in the bank (he combines the colby/heinzl/boyles/bolio/hank just the way i like it)

alot of people discount the colby/heinzl dogs because they arent barnstormers by nature. but they are my favorites and have been for almost 20 years
