Why Rascal over " Eli"

Just a question I came up with. Everyone says Rascal is better than the traditional Eli blood...I know Rascal was a Eli/Carver dog. Rascal dogs these days are usually seen heavily crossed with jeep redboy blood so yes higher %s. My buddy got 3-4 dogs off Mr Hughes years ago and he even said tight he said he is happy if he gets a good one out of a litter.He said most r cold.I think a tight rascal dog not crossed with RB/J blood has the same%s as a tight Eli dog( really I think ELI is higher%s) Homer's ped http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Pedigrees&file=printPedigree&dog_id=154 fucken awesome looking animal to say the least.Im just trying to learn some see if other people think Im a nut lol. I think similar %s and the cross would have worked with most good producers of the ELI line and who knows the great 3 way cross could have been jeep rb Maverick?I know Homer isnt a 100% Rascal but I like his picture lolol.

Jeep/redboy/maverick or any Eli dog in that trio has worked beautifully but rascal just takes it to another level, not only a better quality animal but you gain consistancy in certain traits such as mouth and gameness and this is why jeep/redboy/rascal is considered a complete dog.
The key to it's success is jeep brings the skill/gameness, redboy brings that deep game trait and rascal brings the mouth and roughness needed to complete the dog.
I'm only speaking of the dogs I have seen so my opinion might differ from others.

I have to say I love my jeep/redboy/rascal dog!
Next I will be looking for a heavy homer female to complete the deal.

rascal was much more of an eli dog then eli carver black shine is a hundred percen eli and orphan is fifty percent. there is only a quarter carver. then if you look at homer he is almost 90 prcent eli blood himself.

I know how and why it works but why couldnt it have worked with another dog. sure lots of folks were successful crossing there bullyson with rascal dogs. 3D,vetze, rick jones, purvis are a few that come to mind.

Mntman2003 just remember this were all crenshaw's dogs he bred rascal to honeybunch and got 5 ch's in one litter that's enough to say it works don't you think?
Crenshaw also had ch Tojo and did similar breedings and had above average results.
From there brodt bred his rascal female to jeep and I'd say with his production of ch's from the combination is better than any other combination of jeep/redboy/Eli.
Crenshaw, brodt, rebel kennels all proved jeep/rascal was the way to go.
If you look a few generations forward you will see that some of the best dogs that ch gator produced was when he was bred to a rascal female, blackjack bed back to more rascal has been working as well so you see it's a fine combination that has survived the test of time exactly 30 years to be exact. It's a proven cross and is the best of jeep or rascal still thriving.
Now rascal's son grch Pedro blood clicks wonderfully with maverick blood and frisco blood and that's evident in fatbill's dogs which are still some of the best Eli blood around.
I plan on breeding my jeep/redboy/rascal dog to a fatbill female and see what I get when roe1880 is ready with that female.

I do think thats enough but alot of those older eli/carver dog had high % litter in those day.Floyd B claims to have bred Rascal and says he has the paper work to prove it.My point is why wouldnt say midnight cowboy or any other good producing bullyson bred dog been able to create the cross that is now known as jeep/redboy rascal?ONLINE PEDIGREES - Access Denied not bad for one breeding either. I think rascal blood is doing well because of jeep redboy jmo. I love the cross like anyone else.

Yes FB claimed that he bred Trahan's Rascal.I know Rascal works never said it didnt but I think it could have worked with other Eli dogs too. I just think everything lined up for Rascal at the right time. I thing midnight cowboy produced as good and could have worked just as good bred tot he same dogs....but I am just having the same conversation we all could be having over a brew discussing not disputing.

that's because the folks with the "real" bullyson/ rascal blood didn't let many dogs off the yard. they were smart enough to know what they had & weren't letting it go for shit. the FL/GA folks can tell you all about the great dogs from 70-80 that did real good.

Nailer! more recent but lots of good bullyson blood too not from the rascal stock from the same era.
